Unlocked cars were broken into on Bristol Road and Wilson Avenue in Manalapan in April, police report.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by the Manalapan Twp. police and unedited by Patch, all the arrests and incidents in the past two weeks:

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, April 29, 2019, at approximately 7:41am, Isiah Adams, a 27-year-old male, single, employed as a salesman and resident of Philadelphia, PA, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Adams was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Anthony Cascella was the arresting officer.

Fraud
On Monday, April 29, 2019, at approximately 11:16am, the victim, a 79-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Citation Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on April 20, 2019, an unknown actor utilized their bank debit card to complete fraudulent purchases on the internet totaling $1,122.76. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, at approximately 5:48pm, the victim, a 53-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Pease Road responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that in June of 2018, an unknown actor utilized the victim’s personal information and opened up a credit card account. The unknown actor then made $10,020.00 in charges using the fraudulently obtained credit card. The incident was handled by Patrolman Christopher Makwinski and is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Friday, April 26, 2019, at approximately 2:19pm, the victim, a 45-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Yorktowne Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on April 11, 2019, he sold a Digital Camera on Amazon in the amount of $689.44. The buyer requested a refund but failed to return the original merchandise to the victim. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the responding officer.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

On Friday, April 26, 2019, at approximately 11:49am, the victim, a 43-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Bristol Road reported an incident of theft from a motor vehicle. The victim advised that between Wednesday April 24, 2019 and Friday April 26, 2019, an unknown actor entered his vehicle and removed a watch and wireless headphones reporting the value of the loss totaling $19,150.00. The vehicle was parked on Bristol Road and left unlocked. The incident was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma and is pending further investigation.

Theft
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at approximately 8:30pm, the victim, a 55-year-old Brooklyn, NY resident, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim related that on Sunday, April 14, 2019, during the daytime hours, an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked on Wilson Avenue in Manalapan, NJ. The actor then removed the victim’s wallet and its contents valued at $260.00. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.

Vandalism
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at approximately 4:47pm, the victim, a 61-year-old Brick, NJ resident, reported an incident of Vandalism. The victim advised that some time between March 25, 2019 and April 25, 2019, an unknown actor damaged his backhoe while it was parked at a business located on Woodward Road in Manalapan, NJ. The backhoe sustained two broken windows resulting in damages estimated at $1000.00. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at approximately 1:58pm, Dinair Desousa, a 53-year-old female, single, employed as a housekeeper and resident of Long Branch, NJ responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $550. Ms. Desousa was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Reginald Grant was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at approximately 9:30am, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on US Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Carson Givens Jr., a 39-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ, was found to have two warrants that were issued for his arrest. One warrant was issued by the Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00 and the other warrant was issued by the Freehold Boro Municipal court in the amount of $1139.00. Mr. Givens was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Theft by Deception

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at approximately 8:21pm, the victim, an 81-year old Manalapan, NJ resident from Overlook Way reported an incident of Theft by Deception. The victim advised that in January of 2018, she was contacted via telephone by an individual claiming to be an employee of a credit card company. The victim was instructed by the employee to purchase $12,000.00 in various gift cards as a fee for services and provide the gift card numbers to the employee. The victim complied with that request for the gift card numbers only to discover a short time later that it had been a scam. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is pending further investigation.

Burglary
On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at approximately 10:31am, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 33 in Manalapan, NJ in reference to the report of a Burglary and Theft. An employee of the business advised that sometime between Saturday April 20, 2019 and Wednesday April 24, 2019 an unknown actor entered a locked concession area and removed food valued at approximately $200.00. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer.

Fraud

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at approximately 8:17am, the victim, a 39-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey resident from Turtle Hollow Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that in early April of 2019, he had sold multiple pairs of Apple AirPods on Ebay in the amount of $1,280.00. The buyer requested to return the items and received a refund but failed to return the merchandise to the victim. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the responding officer.

Criminal Mischief

On Sunday, April 21, 2019, at approximately 11:04pm, Manalapan Township patrols responded to a residence on Hedgrerow Lane for a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim, a 42 year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported that an unknown actor kicked and damaged his garage door. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the responding officer.

Vandalism
On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at approximately 2:43pm, the victim, a 39-year-old Suitland, Maryland resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Criminal Mischief. The victim advised that on Sunday, May 5, 2019, between 7:30am and 9:30am, an unknown actor scratched her vehicle while it was parked at a business on Woodward Road. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000.00. Patrolman Philip Accatatta was the responding officer.

Shoplifting
On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at approximately 5:27am, patrols responded to a business located on Woodward Road in reference to the report of Shoplifting. An employee of the business related that an unknown actor concealed two bags of potato chips and left the store without paying. The total value of the merchandise was $3.78. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at approximately 1:48am, patrols responded to a business located on Gordon’s Corner Road in reference to the report of Theft. Further investigation revealed that a subject identified as Kelly Kowaljow, a 48-year-old female, divorced, unemployed and a resident of Howell, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00. Ms. Kowaljow was arrested, processed and turned over to the Toms River Police Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

Criminal Mischief
On Saturday, May 4, 2019, patrols responded to a residence on Adams Court in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival, patrols met with the victim, a 63-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident. The victim advised that on Friday, May 3, 2019, between 9:00pm and 11:30pm, an unknown actor threw eggs on the victim’s residence and vehicle. Patrolman Joseph Defilippis was the responding officer.

Harassment

On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at approximately 2:07am, patrols responded to a residence on Heron Court in reference to a report of Harassment. Upon arrival, patrols met with the victim, a 25-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident. The victim advised that she had just received nine harassing phone calls from an unknown male subject. The subject made unwanted, explicit and lewd comments. The phone calls came from a blocked phone number. Patrolman Brian Cruse was the responding officer.

Assault
On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at approximately 12:38am, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 33 for the report of an Assault. Upon arrival, patrols met with the victim, a 28-year-old Hightstown, NJ resident. The victim advised that on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at approximately 12:00am, an unknown actor had assaulted him by striking him in the face with a closed fist. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the responding officer.

Fraud
On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 9:31pm, the victim, a 33-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Willow Grove Way responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on April 23, 2019, an unknown actor had utilized the victim’s personal information to fraudulently purchase three iPhones and an Apple Watch from a wireless carrier. The merchandise was valued at $3,015.87. The incident was handled by Patrolman Phil Accatatta and is pending further investigation.

Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 5:34pm, patrols responded to the area of Fawn Run in reference to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, patrols located a subject identified as Alexandra Weber, a 25-year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Parlin, NJ. Further investigation revealed that Weber had provided a false name to patrols and was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, hypodermic syringes, drug paraphernalia, and prescription legend drugs. Ms. Weber was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Phil Accatatta was the arresting officer.

Receiving Stolen Property

On Friday, May 3, 2019, at approximately 3:00pm, Robert Bresnahan, a 43-year-old male, divorced, employed as a horse trainer and resident of Manalapan, NJ responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters in reference to an investigation regarding a theft that was initiated in March of 2019. After a two month investigation, Mr. Bresnahan was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property valued at approximately $1,200.00. Mr. Bresnahan was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Adam Sosnowksi was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest

On Friday, May 03, 2019, at approximately 9:40am, Patrolman Mantas Stanionis conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Andy Santana, a 20-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Monroe, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Jamesburg Municipal Court in the amount of $145.00. Mr. Santana was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the arresting officer.

Harassment
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, at approximately 4:30pm, the victim, a 34-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Demarest Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Harassment. The victim advised that on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, an unknown actor created a fictitious social media account in the victim’s name with the victim’s photograph. The fake account was utilized to send private messages to other users as if the victim was actually sending the messages. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the responding officer.

Possession of Less Than 50 grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at approximately 9:00pm, Patrolman Matt Porricelli conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a traffic violation. The three occupants of the vehicle were identified as Christopher Pravata, an 18-year-old male, single, employed as a delivery driver and resident of Manalapan, NJ; Michael Coromilas, a 19-year-old male, single, employed as a maintenance person and resident of Manalapan, NJ; Amanda Bernstein, a 19-year-old female, single, employed as a beautician and resident of Marlboro, NJ. Further investigation revealed that the three occupants were in possession of a vaping device suspected of containing synthetic marijuana. The vaping device was subsequently sent for laboratory testing which revealed the presence of synthetic marijuana. All three subjects were later arrested, processed and charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three subjects were served with summonses and released. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, May 2, 2019, at approximately 2:15pm, patrols responded to the New Jersey State Police Red Lion Station in Westampton, NJ and met with officers from the Waterford Township Police Department. At that time, patrols took custody of Gregory Cromwell, a 30-year-old male, single, employed as a laborer and resident of Sicklerville, NJ. Mr. Cromwell had a warrant that was
issued for his arrest from the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Cromwell was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.

Theft of Property
On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at approximately 5:39pm, patrols responded to a residence on Deer Way for a report of a Theft. Upon arrival, the victim, a 58-year- old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between 1:00pm and 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2019, an unknown actor removed an iPod from the residence. The iPod is valued at approximately $250.00. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the responding officer.

Fraud

On Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at approximately 1:59pm, the victim, a 52-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Saratoga Lane reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on Saturday April 27, 2019, an unknown actor fraudulently utilized her credit card to complete purchases in various stores in Ohio totaling approximately $3,500.00. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the responding officer.

Fraud Investigation

On Monday, March 4, 2019, the victim, a 75-year-old Manalapan NJ resident from Medford Court reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised this agency that she had received a phone call from an unknown subject who advised that the victim’s grandson was involved in a motor vehicle crash and was currently in jail. The subject then advised the victim that in order to have the victim’s grandson released from jail, they would need to transfer $8,500.00 to a provided account number. The victim complied with the request later realizing that she had been the victim of a theft. Upon further investigation lasting approximately two months, a suspect was identified and criminal complaints were signed. The case is pending suspect apprehension. Detective Jennie Hensley was the investigating officer.
