Manalapan Police Blotter, April 23 - April 29

Vandalism occurred at the St. James AME Church on Smithburg Road.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police, and unedited by Patch, all the arrests and incidents last week:

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, April 29, 2018, at 5:48 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on US Route 9 North. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Lohan Goncalves-Felix, a 22-year-old, un-married, male, resident of Newark, who is employed as a construction worker, was subsequently found to have 1 criminal warrant out of Roselle Park Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00 and 2 traffic warrants – 1 out of Roselle Park Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00 and 1 out of Newark Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00. Mr. Goncalves-Felix was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance pending new court dates. Patrolman Kyle Williams made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 5:25 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler arrested Walter E. Barbour Jr. (34-year-old, single, male, Manalapan Township resident, who is employed as a mechanic) on Craig Road. Barbour was known by this officer to have an outstanding traffic warrant in the amount of $350.00 out of Toms River. Barbour was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the custody of the Toms River Township Police Department.

Burglary, Criminal Mischief
On Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 10:15 a.m., Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley responded to the St. James AME Church for a report of a burglary to the church. Unknown suspects entered the church and caused damage to the ceiling tiles. The suspects also knocked over and rummaged through items inside the church. No items were reported missing by members of the church. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley handled the initial investigation.

Motor Vehicle Crash/DWI
On Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 7:37 pm, Manalapan Township Police responded to the area of Tennent Road for a single car motor vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old married female teacher, Mary Mahoney of Cranbury, New Jersey was not injured, but transported to the hospital for further evaluation. Mary was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Mary was released from the hospital with a pending court date. Ptl. Matt Porricelli handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, April 28, 2018, at approximately 9:57 a.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing a traffic violation on Kelton Place. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Joseph Postorino Jr., a 43-year-old, unemployed, married, male, resident of Manalapan, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by Eatontown Municipal Court in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Postorino, Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis made the arrest.

Vandalism
On Friday, April 27, 2018, at approximately 5:40 p.m., a 25-year-old Manalapan resident reported that during the course of the prior 15 hours, an unknown actor(s) had broken the rear windshield wiper blade of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in the area of Towne Drive. The damage was estimated at approximately $35.00. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the incident.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, April 27, 2018, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Patrolman Christopher Makwinski conducted a motor vehicle stop after observing a traffic violation on Rt. 33. The operator of the vehicle, Miguel Regato, a 47-year-old, married, male, resident of East Windsor, who is employed as a factory associate, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Hightstown Municipal Court in the amount of $190.00. Mr. Regato was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, April 27, 2018, at 4:13 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. A passenger in the vehicle, Samantha Kolbasowski, a 23-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female, resident of Toms River, was found to have a warrant issued
for her arrest by the Englishtown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $868.00. Ms. Kolbasowski was transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department, where she was processed and subsequently released on her own recognizance. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.

Theft of Property
On 04/27/2018 at approximately 11:27 am, Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky responded to Hercules Heating & Air Conditioning for a report of a theft. It was found that five air conditioning condensers and 2 evaporator coils were removed from the property with a total value of $5240.00. This case is pending further investigation.

Harassment

On 04/26/2018 at approximately 7:42 pm, Patrolman Christopher Makwinski and Patrolman John Lightbody responded to the Bread House café located at 355 US 9 in Manalapan for a report of a dispute. The victim, a 33-year-old Marlboro resident reported that she was involved in a verbal argument with a 38-year-old
Howell resident after continuously being harassed by this individual as well as his 3 male friends. There were no criminal complaints filed or arrests made in this incident and each of the parties involved departed separate ways. Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the incident.

Warrant Arrest
On 4-26-18 at 8:56am, Ptl Seth Kreizman observed a traffic violation on State Highway 33 East involving a gold Ford Fusion. A motor vehicle stop was affected on Wemrock Rd. The driver, Anthony Rodriguez, a 26-year-old, unemployed single male, Manalapan resident, was found to have a warrant for $195.00 out of the Englishtown Municipal Court. Mr Rodriguez was placed under arrest and processed. He was transported and turned over to Englishtown Police Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday April 25, 2018 at approximately 9:49 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody and Patrolman Brian Cruse responded to the Paulsboro Police Department where Arshay Foster, a 41-year-old, unemployed single male, Paulsboro resident was taken into their custody and placed under arrest for a traffic warrant that was issued for his arrest out of Manalapan Township. Foster was transported by Manalapan Twp. Police Department to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution after he was unable to post his bail of $1,000.00.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at approximately 7:31 pm, Patrolman Jared Coupland and Patrolman Christopher Makwinski responded to Medford Court in regards to a disorderly person. During the investigation, Ivan Stankevitch, 25-year-old, single, employed as a mover, male, resident of Brooklyn, NY, was
found to have a criminal warrant issued for his arrest by Voorhees Municipal Court, in the amount of $500.00. Stankevitch was placed under arrest and transported the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bail in full. Patrolman Jared Coupland made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 10:00 p.m., Patrolman Adam Sosnowski responded to the area of Amberly Drive in Manalapan regarding an animal complaint. During the investigation, Robert Kushall, a 59-year-old, married, unemployed, male, resident of Manalapan, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Marlboro Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Kushall was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and turned over to the Marlboro Township Police Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday April 23, 2018, at approximately 1:58PM, Patrolman Christopher Oleksy responded to headquarters to take a report for Luis D. Pola, a 22-year-old single Hispanic male, self employed, Howell resident. During this time, it was found that Pola had a warrant for his arrest out of Howell Township for a total of $89.00. Luis was placed under arrest, processed and was released after posting full bail. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, April 23, 2018, at 8:55 a.m., John Peters, Jr., a 41-year-old, married, male, resident of Millstone Township, who is employed as a mechanical pipe insulator, was turned over to the Manalapan Township Police Department by the New Jersey State Police regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the
Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Peters was subsequently remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, April 23, 2018, at approximately 9:18 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano responded to Thompson Grove Park, located on Thompson Grove Road in Manalapan, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. During the investigation, Michael Kasey Jr., a 21-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Middletown, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Wall Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,407.00. Mr. Kasey was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made the arrest.
