Manalapan Police Blotter, Aug. 13 - Aug. 20

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police, all the arrests in that time period:

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at approximately 2:15 p.m., patrols responded to the Monmouth County Probation Office and took custody of a 26-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Ocean Township, NJ. He had two warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court totaling $1,361. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman James Joiner was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at approximately 2:30 p.m., patrols responded to the Essex County Correctional Facility and took custody of a 30-year-old male, single, self-employed and resident of Sicklerville, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,250. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Scott Rindsberg was the arresting officer.

Harassment
On Monday, August 19, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Rumford Way in reference to the report of harassment. The victim, a 59-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that she is being harassed by another resident in the area. Patrolman Scott Rindsberg was the responding and reporting officer.

Burglary, Theft of Property
On Sunday, August 18, 2019, at approximately 10:33 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Red Fox Run in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 60-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised sometime between August 1, 2019 and August 18, 2019, an unknown actor entered the victim’s barn and removed a chainsaw valued at $500. The incident was handled by Patrolman Chris Oleksy and is pending further investigation.

Harassment

On Saturday, August 17, 2019, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Lexington Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police headquarters and reported an incident of harassment. The victim advised that for the past year she has been being continuously harassed on social media by a known subject. Patrolman Brian Schank was the responding officer.

Residential Burglary
On Saturday, August 17, 2019 at approximately 10:21 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Citation Lane in reference to the report of a residential burglary. The victim, a 76-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on Saturday, August 17, 2019, a neighbor observed damage to numerous window screens at the victim’s residence. Further investigation determined that several widows on the rear and sides of the home were damaged and that an unknown actor had entered the residence through a rear window. Patrolman Chris Oleksy was the initial responding officer and this incident is being further investigated by the Detective Bureau.

Residential Burglary
On Saturday, August 17, 2019, at approximately 5:30am, patrols responded to a residence on Whirlaway Road in reference to the report of a residential burglary. The victim, a 78-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported that on August 17, 2019, sometime between the hours of 12:00am and 3:00am, an unknown actor forced entry to the residence through a rear sliding glass door. The incident was initially handled by Patrolman Jared Coupland and is being further investigated by the Manalapan Police Department Detective Bureau.

Possession of Less Than 50 grams of Marijuana
On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 8:46pm, Patrolman Matt Porricelli conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of State Highway 33 for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the passenger, a 24-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of East Orange, NJ was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the arresting officer.

Fraud
On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 4:41pm, the victim, a 45-year-oldManalapan, NJ resident from Debbie Court, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that earlier this month an unknown actor fraudulently opened a credit union bank account using the victim’s personal information. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest

On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 12:45pm, a 38-year-old male, married, unemployed and resident of Englishtown, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $75. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the arresting officer.

Fraud

On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 11:41am, the victim, a 54-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Marigold Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that in early August of 2019, an unknown actor fraudulently opened a credit card utilizing the victim’s personal information and completed transactions totaling $6,000. This incident was handled by Patrolman Bart Mattaliano and is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 10:05am, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a traffic violation. The passenger, a 40-year-old male, divorced, employed as a sales supervisor and resident of East Windsor, NJ was found to have multiple warrants that were issued for his arrest from the following jurisdictions; Middlesex County Superior Court; Monmouth County Superior Court; East Windsor Municipal Court; Hightstown Municipal Court; Robbinsville Municipal Court; and Millstone Municipal Court. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle
On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at approximately 5:39pm, patrols responded to the area of Saint Andrews Place (Knob Hill Country Club) in reference to the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim, a 56-year-old Staten Island, NY resident advised that on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at approximately 5:30pm, an unknown actor stole the victim’s vehicle, 2018 Mercedes Benz E430 color Black. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot, unlocked with the key fob inside of the vehicle. The incident was handled by Patrolman Zike and is pending further investigation.

Fraud

On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at approximately 1:26pm, the victim, a 30-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Saratoga Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that in February of 2017, an unknown actor fraudulently opened a credit card utilizing the victim’s personal information and completed transactions totaling $4,585.59. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is pending further investigation.

Burglary, Theft
On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at approximately 10:16pm, patrols responded to a business located on Madison Avenue in reference to the report of three stolen motorcycles from a storage unit. The business owner related that sometime August 12th 2019, three unknown actors forced entry to a storage unit and removed the motorcycles. The incident was handled by Patrolman James Joiner and is being further investigated by the Detective Bureau.

Fraud/ Counterfeit Currency
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 9:06pm, patrols responded to a business located on Gordon’s Corner Road in reference to the report of counterfeit money. An employee of the business advised that on August 14, 2019, an unknown actor fraudulently utilized $140.00 in counterfeit currency to make a purchase. The incident was handled by Patrolman Zike and is pending further investigation.

Harassment
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 8:51pm, patrols responded to a residence on Arrowood Road in reference to the report of Harassment. The victim, 70-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that a known actor has been verbally harassing them. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the responding and reporting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 3:10pm, Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a traffic violation. The driver a 36-year-old male, divorced, self-employed and resident of Englishtown, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $13,988.28. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 8:40am, patrols met with the New Jersey State Police in Jackson, NJ and took custody of a 63-year-old male, single, retired and resident of Freehold, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.
