Fraud

On Sunday, August 20, 2017, at 2:00 pm, a 42-year-old resident of Manalapan reported that checks totaling $5,129.88 were written from her business, located in Freehold, NJ, without her authorization between July 13, 2017 and August 1, 2017. Patrolman William Dutton took report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest

On Thursday, August 17, 2017, at approximately 1:51 pm, Gibran Navarro- Sanchez, a 22-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Englishtown, NJ, who is employed as a construction worker, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Navarro-Sanchez was processed and released after posting bail.

Bad Checks

On Thursday, August 17, 2017, at approximately 12:15 pm, a 67-year-old Toms River resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that he completed work at a Manalapan residence and was paid with a bad check in the amount of $2,550.00. Patrolwoman Jennie Rae Hensley took the report, which is pending the signing of complaints.

Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at approximately 9:35 am, Patrolman Bryan Belardo responded to the Hopewell Police Department in reference to a subject who was arrested for a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,040.00. Cesar Lopez 3rd, a 19- year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Howell Township, was subsequently transported the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday, August 14, 2017 at 9:18 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 522 after observing a motor vehicle violation. A passenger in the vehicle, Ellen P. Taylor, a 34-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Englishtown, who is employed as an associate, was found to have a
warrant issued for her arrest by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $11,995.00. Ms. Taylor was arrested and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and turned over to the Ocean County Sheriffs Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.

Harassment

On Monday, August 14, 2017, at approximately 4:52 pm, a 22-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown subject called the victim’s phone and verbally harassed the victim, and then left a harassing voice message on the victim’s voicemail. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday, August 14, 2017, at approximately 12:58 pm, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 after observing a motor vehicle violation. A passenger in the vehicle, Ernest Major, a 70-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Toms River, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Fort Lee Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Major was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.
