Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, August 25 at approximately 5:00 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Manalapan Epicenter located at the intersection of Route 9 South and Symmes Drive for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Anthony L. Evans, a 53-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Barnegat, NJ, who is employed as a housekeeper, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Evans was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Kyle William was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Saturday, August 25, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 40-year-old Lawrenceville resident reported that a white male, approximately 5’11” in height, with a medium build and short brown hair, wearing a gray t-shirt and a white female, approximately 5’7” in height, with a medium build, stole approximately 40 iPhone charging cables valued at $160.00 while at the Englishtown Auction located at 90 Wilson Ave in Manalapan. Patrolman Jared Coupland took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 24, 2018, at approximately 2:01 p.m., Christina Aguiles, a 51-year-old, married, female, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a project manager, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mrs. Aguiles was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Brian Schank was the arresting officer.

Burglary / Theft / Criminal Mischief
On Friday, August 24, 2018, at 3:27 a.m., two unknown actors gained entry into the 76 Gas Station and Food Mart located at the intersection of Route 9 North and Ryan Road in Manalapan Township. The suspects used a crowbar to gain access through the front door. One suspect is described as a white male with full beard wearing a black winter hat with white Adidas Logo on front, glasses, white gloves, short sleeve button down black, white and blue checkered shirt with blue jeans and dark sneakers. The other suspect is described as a white male, clean shaven wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white t-shirt exposed at the belt line, black sweatpants and black sneakers. The unknown suspects removed an unknown amount of NJ Lottery scratch off tickets, cigarettes, and a cash drawer. The exact value of the merchandise taken is unknown at this time. Both suspects left the area in a black GMC Yukon with no front license plate and an unknown rear license plate, traveling northbound on Route 9. Patrolman William Dutton, Patrolman Dennis O’Brien, and Patrolman Matthew Mattia responded to the scene after the business’s security alarm was activated. Possession of Fraudulent Government Issued Identification/Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia

On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Porricelli and Patrolman Adam Sosnowski responded to the area of Hedgerow Lane in Manalapan for a report of suspicious activity. After investigating a vehicle on Hedgerow Lane, Julian Amar, an 18-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Manalapan, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Ilan Efraimovich, an 18-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a fast food server, was found to be in possession of a fraudulent Delaware Drivers License, less than 50 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

Simple Assault / Harassment
On Wednesday, August 23, 2018, at approximately 5:48 p.m., a 27-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that they were assaulted by a 26-year-old Manalapan resident during the course of a motorist dispute incident that took place on Sweetman’s Lane in
Manalapan. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident which is pending complaints. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the responding officer.

Residential Structure Fire
On Wednesday, August 23, 2018 at 2:19 p.m., a structure fire was reported at a Wilson Ave. residence. The Gordon’s Corner Fire Company, the Manalapan Fire Company, the Englishtown Fire Company, the Monroe Fire Company, and the Millstone Fire Company responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, however, the residence did sustain damage. This incident is under investigation by Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie and Detective Jennie Rae Hensley of Manalapan Township Police Department, along with the Manalapan Township Fire Bureau and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Identity Theft

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 12:14 p.m., 54-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor opened a Best Buy credit card in victim’s name. The card was used to purchase $9,111.68 in online merchandise. No monetary loss was reported on the part of the victim. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.

Criminal Mischief
On Monday, August 20, 2018, at 5:15 p.m., a 74-year-old Manalapan resident reported that the front driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered while parked in the parking lot for approximately one hour of a business located on Wilson Avenue. The circumstances surrounding the broken window are not
known. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the responding officer.

Theft
On Monday, August 20, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a 61-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had cashed three checks totaling $610.00 from the victim’s bank account. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Timothy Johnson, a 51-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Maple Shade, New Jersey, who is employed as a salesman, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court with no bail amount set. Mr. Johnson was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court hearing. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson was the arresting officer.

Theft of Property
On Friday, August 24, 2018, at approximately 6:35 p.m., two unknown male actors unlawfully removed a pair of JBL Endurance wireless headphones valued at $89.99 from the Best Buy located at 15 Route 9 South in Manalapan Township. The suspects then entered a motor vehicle, described as a white Nissan Rogue bearing an unknown New York registration, and departed the area via Route 9 northbound with the headphones in their possession without purchasing them. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, August 20, 2018, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Patrolman Charles Mazzatto and Special II Officer Mantas Stanionis responded to the Newark Police Department where John P. Miranda, a 27-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Belleville, had been arrested regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Miranda was placed under arrest and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto was the arresting officer.
