Manalapan Police Blotter, Aug. 21-Aug. 27
A resident of Manor Court reported his car was stolen last Tuesday, Aug. 22 and a $10,000 trailer was taken from a Pension Road property.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Here are all the arrests made and calls for service in Manalapan Township, Monday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 27:
Harassment
On Sunday, August 27, 2017 at approximately 10:06 p.m. patrols responded to Wendy’s on US Route 9 South in reference to harassing phone calls. The victim, a 44 year-old Spotswood resident, alleges that an unknown, male subject, contacted the store and harassed the victim over the telephone. This incident is pending investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Shoplifting
On Saturday August 26, 2017 at 5:54 p.m. patrols responded to the Best Buy store located at 15 Route 9 South for a report of shoplifting. Best Buy Loss Prevention advised that the arrestee had attempted to conceal $199.99 worth of merchandise in her purse and was stopped before leaving the store. Arrested
was Abbyann Pearce, a 28 year old single, white female, Neptune resident who is currently unemployed. Pearce was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released on summons charging her with shoplifting. Pending Court. Ptl. Brian Cruse made the arrest.

Theft of Property
On Friday August 25, 2017 at approximately 5:17 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan resident contacted this agency to report the theft of a trailer from his property on Pension Road. The victim alleges that between 10:00pm on 08/24/2017 and 5:00pm on 08/25/2017, unknown actor(s) stole a black “SealMaster” trailer from the backyard of his residence, valued at $10,000.00. This case is currently pending investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.

Theft of Property
On Friday, August 25, 2017, at approximately 1:32 p.m., a 77-year-old, Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters in reference to a report of theft. The victim reported that an individual had stolen her cellular phone, valued at approximately $400.00, while she was at the Covered Bridge Clubhouse for a brief period. The suspect involved has been identified and this incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 5:30 am, patrols responded to the area of Villanova Drive for a report of two suspicious males. Ehtesham Virk, a 23-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Highland Park, who is employed as a server, was subsequently found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the New Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount if $850.00. Mr. Virk was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Matt Porricelli handled the arrest.
Criminal Mischief
On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a 35-year-old Manalapan resident reported that the door of a Lexington Drive residence had been damaged by unknown actors. There are no suspects or witnesses to this incident at this time. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski took the report.
Criminal Mischief
On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at approximately 5:20 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had broken a window to a Shira Lane residence with a rock. There are no witnesses or suspects at this time. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report.
Stolen Vehicle
On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at approximately 7:57 am, Patrolman Matt Porricelli responded to a Manor Court residence for a report of a stolen vehicle. A 73-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor removed a 2002 Red Hyundai Sonata valued at $1,500.00 from in front of a residence. This
case is currently pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, August 21, 2017, at approximately 4:50 pm, Patrolman Jeff Emslie responded to the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 123 Route 33 in Manalapan for a report of a suspicious subject. The subject, David Pratt, a 54-year-old, unemployed, divorced, male, resident of Trenton, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Trenton Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00 and a warrant issued for his arrest by the Ridgefield Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Pratt was placed under arrest and
transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Jeff Emslie made the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, August 21, 2017, at approximately 9:05 a.m., after observing suspicious activity in the area of Union Hill Road in Manalapan, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made contact with a male subject attempting to solicit services. The subject, identified as Charles Metzler 3rd, a 27-year-old, unmarried, unemployed,
male, resident of Manalapan, was found to have warrants issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00 and the Marlboro Township Municipal Court in the amount of $402.00. Mr. Metzler was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he
was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made the arrest.
Fraud
On Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 11:37 am, a 65-yr-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor utilized two banks in New York City on July 28, 2017 and made three withdrawals totaling $4,502.50 using the victim’s identification and debit card. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report.
