On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at approximately 4:45am, patrols responded to a residence on Crystal Court in reference to a report of Burglary. The victim, a 54-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that unknown actor(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. The actor(s) then gained access to the garage of the residence utilizing the garage door opener that was in the unlocked vehicle and attempted to remove two bicycles from the garage. The victim further advised that he heard the garage door opening and came downstairs at which time the actor(s) left the scene in a blue BMW X5. The victim did not get a description of the actor(s). This case is currently under investigation. Patrolman Jean Letts handled the report and this incident is under further investigation. The Manalapan Township Police Department would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicles.
On Wednesday, September 8, 2020, at approximately 4:46pm, patrols responded to a department store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Theft. A representative from the store advised that a subject had removed merchandise from the store without paying. Further investigation revealed that Jamie Carvalho, a 41-year-old female, single, unemployed and
Marlboro resident was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.
On Tuesday, September 7, 2020, at approximately 9:21pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Cross Slope Court in reference to a report of Terroristic Threats. The victim, a 33-year-old Manalapan resident advised that an unknown actor was sending him threatening text messages that contain his personal information. This case is currently under investigation. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
On Sunday, September 6, 2020, at approximately 11:50pm, Patrolman Douglas Zike conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Secretariat Road for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Michelle Kemp-Zeleznik, a 55-year-old female, married, employed as an office worker and resident of Marlboro, NJ was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mrs. Kemp-Zeleznik was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at approximately 6:41pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Livingston Lane in reference to a report of Simple Assault. The victim, a 27-year-old Manalapan resident advised that they were shoved by a female subject while she was standing in her driveway. There were no injuries and/or criminal complaints issued as a result of this incident. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.
On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at approximately 11:30am, the victim, a 19- year-old resident of Manalapan responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that she was solicited through email to work for a company who asked for money to be deposited into an account. Further investigation by the victim revealed that the company was fraudulent and did not make the deposit. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.
On Saturday, September 5, 2020, at approximately 1:11am, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed, the passenger, Rachael Dittmer, a 24- year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Freehold, NJ, was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Dittmer was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
On Thursday, September 3, 2020, at approximately 2:00pm, patrols responded to a department store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Theft. Upon arrival, patrols located a subject outside the store that was later identified by store security as the subject in question. Store security advised that they will be signing complaints against the subject with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.
On Thursday, September 3, 2020, at approximately 2:21am, Patrolman Ryan Brady conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Sanjay Habdapangoda, a 52-year-old male, single, self-employed and resident of Linden, NJ was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Habdapangoda was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police
Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at approximately 4:00pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Meadow Green Circle in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 67-year-old Manalapan resident advised that she placed an order with an online shopping network and attempted to check on the order by calling a phone number listed online. After providing the representative with her personal information and bank information the victimrealized the phone number they had reached was fraudulent. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at approximately 5:34pm, the victim, a 36- year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that sometime between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm on September 2, 2020, an unknown actor(s) removed a package from outside her residence. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.
On Wednesday September 2, 2020, at approximately 7:51pm, patrols responded to State Highway 33 and Iron Ore for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Jose Ramos-Cruz, a 70-year-old male, married, employed as a painter and resident of Neptune, NJ was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Ramos-Cruz was transported to Centra State Hospital. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Ramos-Cruz
was released from the hospital where he was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the arresting officer.
On Thursday, September 3, 2020, at approximately 1:38am, patrols responded to a residence located on Sandpiper Drive in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 70-year-old Manalapan resident advised that between the hours of 11:20pm on September 2, 2020, through 12:30am on September 3, 2020, an unknown actor(s) accessed his online account and made a fraudulent purchase of shipping labels. This case is currently under investigation. Patrolman Kyle

On Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at approximately 3:56pm, the victim, a 76-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that she received a phone call from an unknown telephone number and was solicited to purchase protection for a recently purchased computer. It was determined that the call was fraudulent and no payment was made. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli handled the report.
On Monday August 31, 2020 at approximately 10:53am, patrols officers responded to a business in Manalapan located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of a Fraud/Hindering Apprehension. Further investigation revealed that, Christopher Chang, a 34-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Colts Neck, NJ, provided officers with a false account of information regarding the circumstances, as well as a false name. Mr. Chang was arrested for
hindering apprehension and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
On Friday, August 28, 2020 at approximately 12:57am, patrols responded to the East Brunswick Police Department and took custody of Thomas Ronan, a 32 year old male, single, unemployed and resident of South River, NJ. Mr. Ronan had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,000.00. Mr. Ronan was arrested, processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of
bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
On Friday, August 28, 2020 at approximately 4:23pm, Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Woodward Road for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Michael Constantine, a 25-year-old male, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Constantine was arrested and transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after
being served with a summons. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.
On Thursday, August 27, 2020, at approximately 2:47pm, the victim, a 36-year- old Manalapan resident responded Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that on May 30, 2020, 18 cartons of KN95 masks (each carton contained 1200 masks) were taken from a storage facility located on Park Avenue. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the report.
On Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at approximately 2:42pm, the victim, a 34-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim advised that sometime between 12:00pm and 2:00pm an unknown actor(s) entered the her unlocked vehicle and removed a purse and its contents. This case is pending further investigation.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
