Terroristic Threats
On Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 9:15 p.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident and a 53-year-old Manalapan resident both reported that they were threatened by the other party during a traffic dispute on Farm Tree Road. This incident is pending the signing of complaints. Patrolman Brian Schank was the responding officer.
Theft
On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at approximately 11:18 a.m., a 52-year-old Freehold resident reported that a former employee is believed to have stolen approximately $15,000.00 from his Manalapan-based business during the course of the past six months. The reporting party did not want to pursue criminal complaints against the accused. Patrolman Anthony Cascella was the responding officer.

Structure Fire
On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 66-year-old Manalapan resident reported a smoke condition at a Greenfield Road residence. The Manalapan Police Department, the Gordon’s Corner Fire Company, the Manalapan Fire Company, the Englishtown Fire Department, the Adelphia Fire Department, the Roberstville Fire Department, the East Freehold Fire Company, and Freehold Fire Department, the Jamesburg Fire Department, the Marlboro Fire Department, and the Southard Fire Department, as well as the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad responded to the incident. The house fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. This fire remains under investigation by the Manalapan Township Police Department and the Monmouth County Fire Marshall’s Office.
Assault
On Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 1:30 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to Marianne Manor, located at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan, for a report of an assault. A 26-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they were assaulted by a 49-year-old Manalapan resident. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident and no complaints were signed. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer.

Terroristic Threats
On Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 3:31p.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor threatened him over the phone. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 31, 2018, at 9:46 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody responded to the area of Rt. 9 South and Gordon’s Corner Road for a report of a suspicious male. Michael Vlearbone, a 55-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Keyport, NJ, was found to have three warrants issued for his arrest by the Hamilton Township Municipal Court totaling $858.00. Mr. Vlearborn also had two warrants issued for his arrest by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s office with no bail amount set and a warrant issued for his arrest by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office in the amount of $25,000.00. Mr. Vlearborne was placed under arrest, processed, and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 31, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., Joseph Decandia, a 40-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Englishtown, NJ, who is employed as an HVAC technician, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Decandia was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the arresting officer.
Criminal Mischief
On Friday, August 31, 2018 at 8:22 p.m., a 23-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a subject, described as a white male in his 20’s with dark hair, wearing a red shirt and dark colored shorts, operating a silver-colored small vehicle with dark colored graphics along the side, had broken the window of a vehicle that was parked on St. Andrew’s Place. The subject fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The value of the damage is unknown at this time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Friday, August 31, 2018, at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 63-year-old Covered Bridge Manalapan resident reported that she was being harassed by a male neighbor. No complaints were signed as a result of this incident. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the responding officer.
Shoplifting
On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 5:23 p.m. employees of the CVS located at 120 Woodward Road reported an incident of shoplifting. Kevin Murphy, a 57-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, Manalapan resident was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting $5.79 worth of merchandise. Mr. Murphy was transported to Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after being issued a summons. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the arresting officer.
Harassment
On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 4:03 p.m., a 46-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an individual had been harassing them regarding business practices. This incident is pending the signing of complaints with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer.
Theft
On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at approximately 7:45 a.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had removed one of the license plates from the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at a Timber Lane residence. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at approximately 8:15 p.m., a 60-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police headquarters to report that an unknown actor attempted to open bank accounts in the victim’s name. No monetary loss was sustained by the reporting party. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto was the responding officer.
Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer / Unlawful Possession of a Weapon / Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose / Possession of a Defaced Firearm / Resisting Arrest
On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Patrolman Adam Sosnowski responded to a Stratford Drive residence after being dispatched to perform a welfare check on a resident. David F. Resende, an 18-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Manalapan, subsequently displayed a firearm during the interaction. After a brief physical altercation, Mr. Resende was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and charged with Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon for an
Unlawful Purpose, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Resende was subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a hearing. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at approximately 10:24 a.m., Vincenzo Grasso, a 52-year-old, self-employed, married, male, resident of Manalapan, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Grasso was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Reginald Grant was the arresting officer.
Assault
On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Patrolman Ross Dessel responded to Marianne Manor, located at 327 Rt. 33 in Manalapan for a report of an assault. A 49-year-old Manalapan resident and a 67-year-old Manalapan resident each reported that they were assaulted by the other. Minor injuries were sustained as a result of the incident, however, neither party wished to pursue criminal complaints. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Monday, August 27, 2018, at approximately 2:24 p.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that that an unknown actor accessed her Bank of America checking account on August 21, 2018 and withdrew $1,600.00. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, August 27, 2018, at approximately 1:47 p.m., Yeslin Moran-Moreno a 24-year-old, married, male, resident of Lakewood, NJ, who is employed as a laborer turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Moran-Moreno was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky was the arresting officer.
Harassment
On Friday, August 31, 2018 at 12:48 p.m., a 19-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that a juvenile neighbor was recording her with a cellular telephone walking to her vehicle. Ptl. Anthony Cascella was the responding officer.
