Fraud

On Friday, September 1, 2017, at approximately 6:22 p.m., a 42-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that unknown actor(s) wrote a fraudulent check from the victim’s bank account in the amount of $67,000.00. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle / Theft
On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 4:31 p.m., a 61-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor entered his vehicle and removed his registration and insurance card while it was parked on Pine Cluster Circle. There was no forced entry to the vehicle and it is unknown when this incident occurred. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report.

Fraud
On Thursday, August 31, 2017, at approximately 11:08 a.m., a 61-year-old Manalapan resident responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department and reported that an unknown actor(s) had applied for a Sears Mastercard in her name. No purchases were made and the aforementioned card had not been approved. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.

Vandalism
On Wednesday, August 31, 2017, at approximately 11:00 a.m., a white moving truck with a blue horizontal stripe along the side stuck a mailbox on Kimberly Court. The truck subsequently left the scene. Anyone with any information regarding this incident should contact the Manalapan Police Department. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report.

Harassment
On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., a 31-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported that a 35-year-old Perth Amboy resident made harassing phone calls and sent harassing text messages to the reporting party during the course of the past several months. No complaints were signed at this time. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report.

Harassment
On Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 1:58 p.m. a 48-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters to report that she had received harassing text messages. No complaints were signed at this time. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report.

Theft
On Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at 1:49 p.m., a 31-year-old Manalapan resident responded to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that an unknown actor removed their Samsung Tablet valued at $299.00 from their residence. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.

Theft
On Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at approximately 11:55 a.m., a 57-year-old Manalapan business owner responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that a customer paid him with a bad check in the amount of $353. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley took the report, which is pending the signing of complaints.

Theft
On Monday, August 28, 2017 at 6:46 p.m., a 25-year-old resident of Howell, NJ reported that while she was shopping in Babies ‘R Us located at 17 Rt. 9 South in Manalapan, unknown actor(s) removed approximately $137 in miscellaneous bills from the victim’s wallet after it had been dropped. This incident is pending investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.

Harassment
On Monday, August 28, 2017 at 4:56 p.m. a 27-year-old, Sayreville, NJ resident contacted this agency in reference to a reported harassment. The victim alleges that an unknown male subject contacted his place of employment and verbally harassed the victim. This case is pending investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma
handled the incident.

Fraud
On Monday, August 28, 2017, at 12:00 a.m., a 57-yr-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor utilized three banks in Pennsylvania on August 23, 2017 and made three withdrawals totaling $8850.00 using the victim’s identification and debit card. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report.
