Credit Card Fraud
On Friday, August 10 at approximately 4:06 p.m., a 57-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township police headquarters and reported that an unknown actor(s) opened an Old Navy credit card using the victim’s personal information. Charges in excess of $600 were made before the card was closed. An attempt to open an Eddie Bauer account was also made on the same date online, however it was denied. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report.
Credit Card Fraud
On Friday, August 10 at approximately 4:14 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an employee of the victim’s company fraudulently acquired approximately $10,000 from the business during the course of the last year. Ptl. Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Friday, August 10 at approximately 6:12 p.m., a 48-year-old Manalapan resident reported that former employee is utilizing the victim’s business insurance as well as a Department of Transportation number for their own use. Patrolman Anthony Cascella was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Thursday, August 9 at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 27-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor used the victim’s name to purchase items online from Bloomingdales in the total amount of $317.86. The resident related that her credit cards were not charged and she suffered no financial loss. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson took the report.

Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
On Wednesday, August 8 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Porricelli conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 North and Ryan Road. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Corrin Rosen, an 18-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Marlboro, who is employed as a customer service representative, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Rosen was placed under arrest and subsequently issued summonses. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Wednesday, August 8 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a 54-year-old Vineland resident reported that between July 28 and July 30 an unknown actor(s) removed a trailer containing metal concrete forms valued at $55,000 from a construction site on Route 537 in Manalapan Township. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Tuesday, August 7 at approximately 4:36 p.m., a 54 year-old Manalapan resident reported that between 3:30 p.m. and 3:35 p.m., unknown actor(s) stole the victim’s cellular telephone from the front porch of a Deepwater Circle residence. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 7 at approximately 9:22 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Steven Viventi, a 39-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Jackson, was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Jackson Township Municipal Court in the amount of $850.00 and one warrant issued for his arrest by the Ocean County Superior Court. Mr. Viventi was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Ocean County Sheriffs Office in lieu of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Monday, August 6 at approximately 4:29 pm, a 76-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor attempted to open a credit card in his name. The resident stated that he has fraud protection and was notified of the attempt and the credit application was denied. This incident was handled by Ptl. Jason Vigneault.
