Fraud
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at approximately 7:54pm, the victim, a 55-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Country Oaks Drive, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on August 13, 2019, the victim’s cell phone account was hacked and an unauthorized purchase was made for three new cell phones. The incident was handled by Patrolman Scott Rindsberg and is pending further investigation.

Theft
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 5:11pm, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to the report of a theft. An employee of the business advised that on August 13, 2019, at approximately 4:20pm, a former employee arrived at the business to retrieve his tools. The known actor then removed various tools belonging to the business and then fled the area. The incident was handled by Patrolman Scott Rindsberg and is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 1:21pm, patrols responded to the Jersey City Police Department and took custody of a 22-year-old male, married, unemployed and resident of Jersey City, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the arresting officer.
Harassment
On Monday, August 12, 2019, at approximately 12:24pm, patrols responded to a residence on Atrium Way in reference to the report of harassment. The victim, a 61-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on August 12, 2019, at approximately 12:02pm, the victim received a threatening call from a known subject. Patrolman James Joiner was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 5:53pm, Patrolman Peter Bylsma conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a traffic violation. The driver a 32-year-old, female, married, employed as a sales manager and resident of New Brunswick, NJ was found to have a no-bail warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest, Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams, Drug Paraphernalia
On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 5:19pm, Patrolman John Lightbody and Patrolman Scott Rindsberg conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a traffic violation. The driver, a 22-year-old, male, single, employed as a construction worker and resident of South River, NJ was found to be in possession of marijuana under 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. He was also found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Cranbury Township Municipal Court in the amount of $106. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail and being served with a summons. Patrolman Scott Rindsberg was the arresting officer.
Burglary, Theft
On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 12:33pm, the victim, a 63-year-old East Brunswick, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that on August 10, 2019, at approximately 6:20pm, an unknown actor entered a business on State Highway 9 and removed the victim’s impact drill. The incident was handled by Officer Jean Letts and is pending further investigation.
Criminal Mischief
On Saturday, August 10, 2019, at approximately 7:03pm, patrols responded to a residence on Amberly Drive in reference to the report of criminal mischief. The victim, a 75-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime on August 10, 2019, an unknown actor damaged landscaping at the victim’s residence. Patrolman Scott Rindsberg was the responding officer.
Residential Burglary
On Saturday, August 10, 2019, at approximately 5:17pm, patrols responded to a residence on Whirlaway Road in reference to the report of a burglary. The victim, a 75-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between the hours of 2:30pm on August 7, 2019 and 5:00pm on August 10, 2019, an unknown actor gained entry to the residence through an unlocked window and removed cash and jewelry. The incident was initially handled by Patrolman Matt Porricelli, and the Manalapan Township Police Departments Detective Bureau is handling the further investigation.
Residential Burglary
On Friday, August 9, 2019, at approximately 11:06pm, patrols responded to a residence on Citation Lane in reference to the report of a burglary. The victim, a 44-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on August 9, 2019, between the hours of 10:20am and 10:30pm, an unknown actor gained entry to the residence through an unlocked window and removed cash and jewelry. The incident was handled by Patrolman Matt Porricelli and is pending investigation by the Manalapan Township Detective Bureau who also responded to the scene.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 9, 2019, at approximately 9:41pm, a 42-year-old male, single, self-employed and resident of Matawan, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a no bail warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. He was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto was the arresting officer.
Defiant Trespass
On Friday, August 9, 2019, at approximately 9:01pm, patrols responded to a business located on Woodward Road in reference to the report of a subject trespassing. The subject, a 67-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be trespassing. He was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and he was escorted off the property. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at approximately 10:37am, the victim, a 57-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on August 6, 2019, at approximately 1:00pm he missed a telephone call on his cellular phone. The victim dialed the phone number back and spoke to an unknown subject who stated that he was a representative from the Social Security Administration. The unknown subject requested the victim’s Social Security number, which the victim provided. The unknown subject then threatened to send the police department to arrest the victim if he did not provide his personal banking information. The victim complied with this request and later discovered that he had been scammed. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the responding officer.
Stolen/Missing License Plates
On Wednesday, August, 7, 2019, at approximately 6:46pm, patrols responded to a residence on Hapenny Drive in reference to a report of a stolen license plate. The victim, a 26-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between 8:00pm on August 6, 2019 and 6:00pm on August 7, 2019, an unknown actor removed the front license plate from the victim’s vehicle. Patrolman Doug Zike was the responding officer.
