Manalapan Police Blotter, Dec. 10 - Dec. 16
Last Tuesday, Dec. 11 two men stole $1,588 worth of merchandise from the Target on Rt. 9. They drove off in a white Mercedes, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:
Fraud
On Sunday, December 16 at 10:13 a.m., a 19-year-old resident of Manalapan responded to police headquarters to report unauthorized charges on using her debit card. This victim reported that on November 23 an unknown individual conducted four transactions totaling $18.79 for an unknown
purchase. The victim’s bank has been notified of this activity and this incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.
Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, December 15 at 6:33 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Christian Rodriguez, a 22-year-old, unmarried resident of Woodbridge, who is self-employed, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Perth Amboy Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday December 13 at 9:48 a.m., Edward Schuh, a 21-year-old, unmarried, male resident of Freehold, who is employed as a roofer, was turned over to the Manalapan Township Police Department after being placed under arrest by the New Jersey State Police regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Schuh was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the arresting officer.
Simple Assault/Criminal Mischief
On Wednesday, December 12 at approximately 4:00 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report being involved in an altercation with a 22-year-old male Helmetta resident. The Manalapan resident reported being assaulted by the Helmetta resident. The Helmetta resident reported his vehicle had sustained damage caused by the Manalapan resident. At the conclusion of the investigation, neither party wished to pursue criminal complaints at this time. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the responding officer.

Shoplifting
On Tuesday, December 11 at approximately 2:55 p.m., employees of the Target store, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported that on December 8 at 9:54 p.m., two individuals, described as older white males operating a white Mercedes Benz, removed $1,588.67 worth of merchandise and left the store without rendering payment. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Tuesday, December 11 at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 60-year-old Marlboro resident reported that an unknown actor had stolen the victim’s wallet and its contents, valued at approximately $160.00, while at the Panera Bread restaurant, located at 31 Route 9 in Manalapan. The theft is believed to have occurred between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, December 11 at approximately 10:43 a.m., Richard Creter, a 52-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a laborer, was stopped as a pedestrian for a traffic violation on Wild Turkey Way in Manalapan. He was subsequently found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Newark Municipal Court in the amount of $200 dollars. Mr. Creter was
placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Tuesday, December 11 at approximately 10:30 a.m., a 50-year-old Manalapan resident and a 49-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor fraudulently opened a Global Vacation Network account in the name of the victims. Patrolman Jeff Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, December 11 at approximately 10:43 a.m., Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Lane in Manalapan Township for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Michael Verdon, a 45-year-old, unemployed, unmarried resident of Toms River, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Sussex County Superior Court with no bail amount set, as well as warrants issued by the Wall Township Municipal Court in the amount of $700. Mr. Verdon was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Sussex County Sheriffs Department. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, December 10 at approximately 8:55 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 9 South in Manalapan Township for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Dawn Diaz, a 53-year-old, separated, female resident of Bayonne, who is employed as a manager, was found to have warrants issued for her arrest by the Bayonne Municipal Court in the amounts of $3,000 and $2,500, as well as the North Hanover Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Ms. Diaz was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and turned over to the Bayonne Police Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the arresting officer.
