Manalapan Police Blotter, Dec. 11 - Dec. 17

There was a DWI crash on Pension Road last Thursday, and two people broke into the Express Pharmacy on Rt. 9 north, police said.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by the Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, here are all the arrests in the Township Monday, Dec. 11 through Sunday, Dec. 17:

Fraud
On Friday, December 14, 2017, at 5:32 p.m., a 66-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that she received a fraudulent check in the amount of $1,750 from a buyer for an item that she had advertised for sale on the Internet. Patrolman Brian Schank took
the report, which is pending further investigation.

Shoplifting
On Friday, December 15, 2017, at 4:10 p,m,, loss-prevention employees from the Wegman’s Supermarket, located at 55 Route 9 South in Manalapan reported that Michelle Phelan, a 40-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Parlin, who is employed as a communications manager, had shoplifted items from the business
valued at $495.53. Ms. Phelan was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and released after being issued a summons. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, December 15, 2017, at 8:45 a.m., Narciso Rodriguez-Corona, a 41-year-old, married, male, resident of Manalapan, who is self-employed, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of
$89. Mr. Rodriguez-Corona was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, December 14, 2017, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road in Manalapan Township. The driver of the vehicle, Felecia Fernandes a 31-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a hair stylist, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Hazlet Township Municipal Court in the amount of $225.00. Ms. Fernandes was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike made the arrest.

Driving While Intoxicated / Motor Vehicle crash
On Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 4:11 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody responded to the area of Pension Road and Sanford Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle, William Horvath III, a 50-year-old unemployed, married, male resident of Manalapan, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Mr. Horvath was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman John Lightbody made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 5:15 pm, Miranda Caputo, a 22-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female resident of Millstone Township, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Caputo was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson handled the arrest.

Burglary / Theft
On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at approximately 3:25 am, two unknown actors dressed in all black, believed to be approximately 20 to 30 years of age, unknown race, are believed to have broken the front glass door to Express Pharmacy, located at 356 Route 9 North, in Manalapan, and removed various prescriptions believed to be narcotics before fleeing the area. The total value of the items removed is unknown at this time. Anyone with possible information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police
Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman Sean McCarthy took the initial report and this incident remains under investigation by Detective Kevin Schmidt.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, December 11, 2017, at 5:55 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop on Sherwood Road in Manalapan. The driver of the vehicle, Brandon J. Stakemann, a 26-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a Master of Ceremonies, was found to have two
warrants issued for his arrest by the Old Bridge Municipal Court in the amounts of $258.00 and $114.00. Mr. Stakemann was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.
