Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, February 18, at approximately 9:34 a.m., Patrolman Christopher Oleksy conducted a motor vehicle stop on Craig Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 34-year-old male, self-employed and resident of Ewing, was found to have a warrant for his arrest that was issued by the Carlstadt Township Municipal Court in the amount of $120. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy was the arresting officer.

On Sunday, February 16, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the victim, a 39-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters for an incident of fraud. The victim advised that unknown actor(s) used his personal information to open up a cell phone account. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.

On Saturday, February 15 at approximately 1:12 p.m., Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Tennent Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 39-year-old male, single, employed as a car salesman and resident of Manalapan was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana less than 50 grams. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, February 16 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 33 near Sweetman’s Lane for a motor vehicle violation. A passenger, a 61-year-old male, single, employed as a car detailer and resident of Oxford, PA, was found to have warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Monmouth County Superior Court in the amount of $20,000, the Neptune City Municipal Court in the amount of $500 and the Ocean Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and then turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office. Patrolman Kyle Earley was the arresting officer. Unknown what warrants were for.
Shoplifiting
On Saturday, February 15 at approximately 1:41 p.m., patrols responded to a grocery store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of theft. The suspect, a 43-year-old male, divorced, unemployed and resident of Brooklyn was observed by store security attempting to remove food items from the store without paying. He was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
Possession of less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia/Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, February 15 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Tennent Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 35-year-old male, single, employed as a construction worker and resident of Metuchen was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana less than 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. He was also found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Englishtown municipal court in the amount of $1,000. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township police headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons after posting bail.
Fraud/Identity Theft
On Saturday, February 15 at approximately 8:47 a.m., a 25-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) used his personal information to open up multiple lines of credit. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
Fraud
On Friday, February 14 at approximately 9:48 a.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Hillside Road in reference to a report of fraud. The victim, a 33-year-old Manalapan resident advised that an unknown actor(s) utilized her bank account to fraudulently purchase various items. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the report.
Identity Theft
On Thursday, February 13 at 4:56 p.m., the victim, a 66-year-old, Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) obtained his personal information to include his credit card information and made a fraudulent purchase. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.
Shoplifting
On Thursday, February 13 at approximately 4:13 p.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of theft. A 36-year-old male, unemployed and resident of Manalapan was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto was the arresting officer.
Warrant arrest
On February 12 at approximately 1:21 p.m., Patrolman Jean Letts responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Rt. 9 and Taylors Mills Road. Further investigation revealed that one of the drivers involved in the accident, a 26-year-old female, employed as a clerk at a convenience store and resident of Tinton Falls was found to have warrants for her arrest that were issued by the Ocean Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500, the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000, the Asbury Park Municipal Court in the amount of $250 and the Tinton Falls Municipal Court in the amount of $500. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Jean Letts was the arresting officer. Unknown what warrants were for.
Possession of less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia/Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, February 16 at approximately 8:40 p.m., Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Smithburg Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 20-year-old male, single, employed as a sales associate and resident of South Plainfield, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana less than 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, a 20-year-old male, single, employed as a gas station attendant and resident of Jackson, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Upper Township Municipal Court in the amount of $250. Unknown what warrant was for. Both men were arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and released on their own recognizance.
Theft
On Tuesday, February 18 at 3:20 p.m., the victim, a 42-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township police headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) removed two glass jars of currency from his residence. Patrolman Kimberly Whitehill handled the report.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Tuesday, February 18 at approximately 9:15 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Amberly Drive in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Further investigation revealed that a 33-year-old male, single, self employed and resident of Manalapan was found to be using suspected narcotics while in a parked vehicle. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the arresting officer.
