Someone placed two nails in the tire, scratched the car and put lotion in the door handles of a car on Cross Slope Court last Wednesday.

MANALAPAN, NJ - Here is the Manalapan police blotter from Feb. 20 through Feb. 26 of this month. There was an incident of criminal mischief done to a car on Cross Slope Court last Wednesday: Someone placed two nails in the victim's tire, scratched the car with an unknown object and placed lotion on the car door handle.

Theft: On Sunday, February 26 at 2:26 pm, a 48-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) removed an Apple Iphone 6S, valued at $600.00, from a table at the Englishtown Auction sometime between 2:10 pm and 2:15 pm on February 26.

Burglary/Criminal Mischief: On Saturday, February 25 at 9:30 am, a 65-year-old male Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) cut a padlock to a trailer sometime between February 18 at 6:00 pm and February 23 at 5:00 pm. No items were reported missing.

Theft: On Friday, February 24 at 4:06 pm, a 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported that between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:20 pm on February 24 his garbage can had been taken from his residence. The garbage can is valued at approximately $75.

Fraud: On Thursday February 23 at 8:30 pm, Patrolman Aaron Abeles responded to an East Parsonage Way residence for the report of fraud. The victim, a 40- year-old, Manalapan resident was contacted via cell phone advising they owed the IRS back taxes. The victim purchased $6,500.00 in gift cards and provided the caller with the account numbers and pins for those gift cards to satisfy their back taxes.

Criminal Mischief: On Wednesday, February 22 at 5:41 pm, a 46-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to report criminal mischief to his vehicle. The victim reported that between 5:30 pm on February 21 and 7:20 am on February 22, unknown actor(s) broke glass over his vehicle, which resulted in a small dent to the door of the vehicle. If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are asked to contact police headquarters at (732) 446–4300.

Criminal Mischief: On Wednesday, February 22 at approximately 4:30 pm, Patrolman Aaron Abeles responded to a Cross Slope Court residence for a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle. A 56-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) placed two nails in the victim's tire, scratched the vehicle with an unknown object, and placed lotion on the victims car door handle while parked in the parking lot of the residence. Aggravated Assault: On Wednesday, February 22 at 3:08 pm, a 20-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, Manalapan resident was placed under arrest after a physical altercation with a 30-year-old subject of unknown residence. He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon, a baseball bat. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a bail hearing.

Possession of Heroin, Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: On Monday, February 20 at approximately 10:28 pm, Patrolman Christopher Makwinski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Taylors Mills Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 33-year-old unmarried female resident of Hightstown, who is employed as a waitress, was found to be in possession of Heroin, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Police headquarters were she was processed and released on summonses. She was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Less Then 50 Grams Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Identity Theft: On Monday, February 20 at approximately 2:40 pm, a 37-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actors utilized the victim’s Kohl’s credit card to purchase $1,890.85 in goods at three different Kohl’s locations in Connecticut.

Shoplifting: On Monday, February 20 at approximately 10:45 am, Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley was dispatched to Wegman’s Supermarket located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan for a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred on Sunday February 19. Loss prevention specialists reported that two unidentified black males unlawfully removed 20 cans of baby formula, valued at $338.00 and left the area in a white Honda minivan.

Criminal Mischief: On Monday, February 20 at approximately 10:00 am, a Manalapan Recreation employee reported to police that unknown person(s) damaged the wooden parts of a picnic table located in The Manalapan Township Recreation Center located on Route 522.
