Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 7 at approximately 1:03 p.m., Kelli A. Martisch, a 35-year-old, single female, unemployed resident of Union Beach, NJ turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1.000. Ms. Martisch was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the processing officer.
Theft
On Thursday, March 7 at approximately 11:10 a.m., the victim, a 45-year-old female, Manalapan resident, responded to headquarters to report a theft. The victim related that her New Jersey State Identification Card was stolen from her mailbox. The incident took place sometime between March 4" and 5". Ptl. Ross Dessel is handling the investigation.

Burglary
On Thursday, March 7 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Pti. Jason Vigneault was dispatched to a business on State Highway Rt. 33 for a report of a burglary. The owner related that sometime overnight, unknown actor(s) entered the business and removed cash and change. This incident is pending further investigation. Ptl. Jason Vigneault was the responding officer, the Manalapan Township Detective Bureau is assigned to the investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 07 at approximately 8:38 a.m., Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Pease Road. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as William Schloesser., a 48-year-old male, single, self-employed, resident of Long Branch, NJ, was found to have an active warrant issued for his arrest by the Monmouth County Superior Court in the amount of $78,103.38. William was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. William was turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriffs Department.

Burglary
On Thursday, March 07 at approximately 5:49 a.m., patrols responded to a business located on Gordons Corner Road in reference to a report of a burglary. Unknown suspect(s) had entered the building and remove an unknown amount of money. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Brian Schank was the responding officer, the investigation is being handled by the Manalapan Township Detective Bureau.
Burglary
On Thursday, March 7, at approximately 3:48 a.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to a business on US Highway 9 in reference to a report of a burglary. The owner, reported that within a five-hour period, an unknown suspect(s) made entry into the business and stole money. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer, the investigation is being handled by the Manalapan Township Detective Bureau.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, March 6 at approximately 4:47 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to the area of U.S Highway 9 in reference to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Shonda Johnson, a 28-year-old, single, nurse, resident of Union, New Jersey, who had four active warrants, from four different municipalities, totaling in the amount of $2,500. Ms. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail in the full amount of $2,500.00. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the arrest.

On Wednesday, March 6 at approximately 10:06 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on State Route 33. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Raymond Reading Jr., a 50-year-old male, single, construction worker, resident of Trenton, NJ, was found to have an active warrant issued for his arrest by Mercer County Superior Court in the amount of $15,737.75. Mr. Reading Jr. was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a new court date. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, March 6 at approximately 10:06 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on State Route 33. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Michael Wimbush, a 54-year-old male, single, construction worker, resident of Trenton, NJ, was found to have an active warrant issued for his arrest by Bordentown City Municipal Court in the
00. Mr. Wimbush was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a new court date. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, March 6 at approximately 1:37 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Union Hill Road. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Denise Dittmer, a 54-year-old, widowed, waitress, resident of Manalapan, NJ, was found to have an active warrant issued for her arrest by Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the
amount of $1,000. Dittmer was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and subsequently transferred to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday March 5 at 7:35 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pinebrook Road, after observing a motor vehicle violation. The passenger, Joseph Collins, a 22-year-old, single, Manalapan resident, employed as an associate, was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant that was issued for his arrest for $750.00 out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Collins was transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and released after posting the full bail amount. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.
Fraud
On Tuesday, March 5 at 5:37 p.m., Ptl. Jason Vigneault responded to a Meadow Green Circle address for a report of a fraud. The victim, a 72-year-old Manalapan resident received a phone call from a person claiming to be from Social Security. The person claimed that the victim's Social Security number had been taken and that they needed $2,600 in gift cards to reissue a new Social
Security number. The victim obtained the gift cards and provided them to the suspect. This incident was handled by Patrolman Jason Vigneault.
Simple Assault
On Monday, March 4 at approximately 3:48 p.m., Patrolman Mantas Stanionis responded to a residence on Route 33 in regard to a physical altercation. Upon arrival, it was determined that a simple assault had occurred, which resulted in minor injuries to one party. Both parties, Manalapan residents, did not wish to pursue criminal complaints at this time.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, March 4 at approximately 11:12 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway US 33 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Jeremy Chisholm, a 32-year-old male, single, employed as laborer, resident of East Brunswick, NJ was found to have a traffic warrant issued for his arrest out of East Brunswick Municipal Court in the total amount of $1000. Mr. Chisholm was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transferred to East Brunswick PD in default of bail. Patrolman Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Fraud/Theft by Deception On Monday, March 4 at 6:51 p.m., a 75 year-old Manalapan resident reported that he was a victim of fraud and theft by deception. The victim alleges that on this date, he was telephoned by someone impersonating a New York Court, and he was duped into sending $8,500 to an unknown subject in order to have their grandson released from custody. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the initial report.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, March 3 at approximately 11:31 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Iron Ore road in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Matthew Griggs, a 35-year-old, male, single, unemployed, resident of Wrightstown, NJ was found to have five traffic warrants issued for his arrest by various Municipal Courts in the total amount of $2463. Mr. Griggs was also found to have two additional warrants out of Burlington County Court. Mr. Griggs was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Lieu of bail. Patrolman Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Motor vehicle stop/warrant arrest
On Saturday, March 2 at approximately 5:10 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Porricelli conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle identified as Mark Sheridan, a 60-year-old, male, single, unemployed, and resident of Princeton, NJ was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Cumberland County Superior Court in the amount of $776.30. Mr. Sheridan was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Saturday, March 2 at approximately 1:33 p.m., patrols responded to Wegman's, 55 Route 9, Manalapan in reference to an incident of theft. The report was in relation to the theft of medication from the pharmacy on multiple occasions in February of 2019. The medication is valued at approximately $300. This incident was reported to Patrolman Joseph De Filippis and is pending further investigation.
Possession of a Controlled and Dangerous Substance/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Saturday, March 2 at approximately 9:51 a.m., Patrolman Bart conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Elise Freyer, a 31-year-old, female, single, unemployed resident of Manalapan, NJ as well as the passenger, James Fraction, a 47-year old, male, single, unemployed resident of Freehold, NJ were both found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Possession of a Controlled and Dangerous Substance/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Throwing Bodily Fluids at Officer
On Thursday, February 28 at approximately 9:19 p.m., Patrolman Matt Porricelli conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Lawrence Piro, a 43-year-old, male, single, self-employed and resident of Freehold, NJ was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Piro was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed. During processing, Mr. Piro spat on an officer which resulted in additional criminal charge. The passenger of the vehicle, Zoraida Sousa, a 40-year-old, female, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Sousa was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed. Both subjects were released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the arresting officer.
Theft of Services
On Thursday, February 28 at approximately 5:55 p.m., patrols responded to the Home Fashion Center, 520 Route 9, Manalapan, NJ in reference to a report of illegal dumping. The reporting party, a 21-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident advised that an unknown actor was observed removing trash from a U-Haul truck and discarding it in the dumpsters located at the center. Patrolman Meyler was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Thursday, February, 28 at approximately 5:17 p.m., patrols responded to a Manalapan facility, located on Route 33, Manalapan, NJ in reference to a report of harassment. The victim, a 35-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident, advised that a male resident of the facility has been harassing them since Decemeber 22, 2018. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, February 28 at approximately 4:23 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Smithburg Road in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver, Megan Mcfarlane, a 27-year-old, female, single, self-employed resident of Millstone, NJ was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Middletown Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Ms. Mcfarlane was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.
Shoplifting
On Thursday, February 28 at approximately 1:06 p.m., patrols responded to Wegmans , 55 Route 9, Manalapan, NJ in reference to an attempted shoplifting that had just occurred. Wegman's employees advised that an unknown male actor had filled a shopping bag with $117.67 worth of merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. When confronted by loss prevention the actor left the bag of merchandise and fled the store. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jeff Emslie and is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, February 27 at approximately 4:10 p.m., Patrolman Charles Alaimo and Patrolman Mantas Stanionis responded to the Ocean County Correctional Facility and took custody of Robert Frith, a 49-year-old, male, single, maintenance worker and resident of Jackson, NJ. Mr. Frith had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Frith was processed and transported to the Monmouth
County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, February 27 at approximately 1:30 p.m, Rasheedah M. Williams, a 38-year-old, female, married, office worker resident of Allentown, PA turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Williams was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, February 27 at approximately 12:00pm, Andrew W. Lopresti, a 26-year-old, male, single, medical technician resident of Manalapan, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Lopresti was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the arresting officer.

On Tuesday, February 26 at approximately 2:57 p.m., Pane Gennaro Jr., a 53-year-old, male, married, self-employed resident of Manalapan, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. Mr. Gennaro was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Chris Oleksy was the arresting officer.
Fraud/Bad Checks
On Tuesday, February 26 at approximately 1:13 p.m., the victim, a 54-year old Cliffwood Beach, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud/bad checks. The victim advised that she manages a local business that provides home improvement services. The victim advised that on December 26, 2018, her company provided $792.00 in services to a Freehold, NJ resident who paid the victim with a fraudulent check. Patrolman James Joiner was the reporting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at approximately 9:39am, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Iron Ore Road in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, John Winkler, a 41-year-old, male, married, employed as a plumber and resident of Philadelphia, PA was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Bellmawr Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Mr. Winkler was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released without bail as per the Bellmawr Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Trespassing
On Monday, February 25 at approximately 1:51 p.m., a Loss Prevention Officer from Marshall's Department Store, Manalapan, NJ, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Trespassing. The store employee reported that on December 26, 2018 a 37 year-old resident of Neptune, NJ, entered the Marshall's Department Store after receiving a no-trespass order from the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in March of 2016. The incident was handled by Patrolman Sean McCarthy.
Theft / Shoplifting
On Sunday, February 24 at approximately 7:33 p.m., patrols responded to 15 US Route 9 South, Manalapan, NJ, Best Buy, in reference to a theft report. Best Buy Loss Prevention reported that five unknown subjects entered the store and concealed $1,119.95 worth of merchandise and then exited the store without paying. The subjects fled the area in a light colored, newer model sedan in an unknown direction of travel. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the incident which is pending further investigation.
