Harassment
On Sunday, March 4 at approximately 1:42 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Cornell Place in reference to a report of a traffic complaint. The complaint involved vehicles and motorcycles traveling at high rates of speed down the road. After speaking with the complainant, patrols then responded to the suspect’s
residence. The suspect advised patrols that the complainant had intimidated them by coming onto their property and advising them to cease their reckless behavior. This incident is pending future private complaints. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the incident.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, March 3 at approximately 8:47 p.m., Kenneth Caitano, a divorced, 51-year-old male investment employee from Morganville, NJ, came into police headquarters to be processed on a $400 traffic warrant out of the Manalapan Municipal Court. Caitano posted bail and was released pending court. Ptl. Edward Hedden handled the incident.

Fire Call
On Thursday, February 28 at approximately 2:10 pm, Patrolman Ross Dessel responded to the Wawa Convenience Store located at 340 Union Hill Road for a reported garbage truck on fire. The Gordon’s Corner Fire Department responded and successfully extinguished the fire. No property damage or injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which was deemed accidental. Warrant Arrest/Possession of Heroin/Possession of Prescription Medication
On Tuesday, February 27, at approximately 11:04 a.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis conducted a welfare check on a subject walking on Rt. 33 near Yates Road in Manalapan Township. Michael McKinney, a 25-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Manalapan was found to have warrants issued for his arrest by the Newark Municipal Court in the amount of $100 and the Keyport Municipal Court in the amount of $964. Mr. McKinney was also found to be in possession of heroin and prescription medication that was not prescribed to him. Mr. McKinney was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correction Institution pending a bail hearing.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, February 26 at approximately 4:18 p.m., Matthew Kot a 32-year-old married Manalapan resident who is self employed, turned himself in on a traffic warrant from Middletown Municipal Court for $114. Matthew was processed and released after posting cash bail. Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

Bad Checks

On Monday, February 26 at approximately 3:10 p.m., Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky met with a 59-year-old resident of Easton, Pennsylvania at Manalapan Police Headquarters. The victim related that he received $12,931 in checks to his business that were returned due to insufficient funds. The merchandise purchased by the suspect who issued the checks was not returned to the victim. This case is pending criminal complaints. Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday, February 26, 2018 at approximately 2:33 p.m., Ptl. Morgan Joiner responded to Manalapan Police headquarters for a subject who turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. The arrestee, John Conigliaro, a 42-year-old, married male from Staten Island, NY, employed as a carpenter, turned himself in on a $750 warrant out of Englishtown Borough municipal court. Mr. Conigliaro was processed then released after posting the full bail amount and was advised to contact Englishtown Municipal Court for a new court date. Ptl. Morgan Joiner handled the walk-in arrest.
