Manalapan Police Blotter, Feb. 4 - Feb. 17
Someone is throwing rocks into the windshields of cars in Manalapan. There were three incidents on Feb. 16/17, police say.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police, all of the arrests and incidents for the past two weeks, Feb. 4 - Feb. 17:
Vandalism
On Sunday, February 17 at approximately 10:40 p.m. patrols responded to Country Lane in Manalapan Township and met with the victim, a 23-year-old East Brunswick, NJ resident. The victim's vehicle was parked on Country Lane on February 17. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on February 17, an unknown subject threw two rocks through the rear of the victim's vehicle, causing the rear window and front windshield to break. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the responding officer.

On Sunday February 17 at approximately 8:17 p.m., Chyenne Lewis, a 31-year-old, single, self-employed male, resident of Freehold Borough was stopped for a traffic violation on State Highway 9. Mr. Lewis was subsequently found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released after receiving a summons. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the arresting officer.

On Sunday, February 17 at approximately 2:00 p.m., the victim, a 69-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an actor had made fraudulent charges on her Macy's credit card totaling $3,534.00. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the responding officer.
Vandalism
On Sunday February 17 at approximately 9:50 a.m., the victim, a 25-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim's vehicle was parked on Knox Lane on February 16. Sometime between 4:30 p.m. on February 16, 2019 and 9:30 a.m. on February 17, 2019 an unknown actor threw a rock at the victim's vehicle's windshield causing it to break. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.
Vandalism
On Sunday February 17 at approximately 8:04 a.m., the victim, a 44-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim's vehicle was parked in a driveway on Longbow Drive in Manalapan on February 16. Sometime between 8:30 p.m. February 16 and 8:04 a.m. February 17 an unknown actor broke the victim's vehicle's windshield while it was parked in a driveway. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.
DWI Arrest
On Friday February 15 at approximately 10:17 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Route 9 for a report of an unconscious female subject in a vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Mary Duke, a 48-year-old, married, female, bio-printer and resident of Jackson, NJ was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Ms. Duke was arrested and transported to headquarters where she was processed and released after receiving multiple summonses. Patrolman Matt Porricelli was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday February 15 at approximately 2:58 p.m., Patrolman Jeff Emslie and Patrolman Charles Alaimo responded to the Mercer County Correctional Facility and took custody of Alexis Ortiz, a 28-year-old, single, male, employed as a sales manager and a resident of Hamilton, NJ. Mr. Ortiz had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Ortiz was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the arresting officer.
Theft by Deception
On Friday, February 15 at approximately 5:12 p.m., the victim, an employee of Etronics Worldwide, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report an incident of theft by deception. The victim advised that his company sold a cell phone valued at $319.99 to a customer through Ebay after receiving payment via Paypal. The buyer subsequently requested to return the phone and was granted a refund through Paypal but never returned the phone to the victim. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Friday, February 15 at approximately 12:54 p.m., the victim, an employee of Wegmans, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor used her stolen credit card information to make multiple fraudulent purchases totaling $1,151.22. The transactions occurred between December 24, 2018 and January 13, 2019. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph De Filippis and is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, February 15 at approximately 2:14 p.m., Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 9 south in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Bernard Black, a 36-year old, married, male, employed as a baggage handler and resident of Bayonne, NJ was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest from Newark, NJ in the amount of $10,000. Mr. Black was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after receiving a new court date from the Newark Court.
Theft
On Friday, February 15 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a resident of Nature Drive reported an incident of theft. The resident observed an elderly white male remove a storm drain cover from township property and take possession of it. The incident was handled by Patrolman Charles Alaimo and is pending further investigation.
Assault
On Friday, February 15 at approximately 10:27 a.m., the victim, a 51-year old, Colts Neck, NJ resident, reported being assaulted. The victim advised that on Friday, February 15 at approximately 10:15 a.m., he was punched in the face at a business in Manalapan, NJ. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, February 11 at approximately 3:55 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler and Patrolman Morgan Joiner responded to the Ocean County Correctional Facility and took custody of Kevin Darbo a 22-year-old, married, male, unemployed, and a resident of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. Mr. Darbo had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Court in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Darbo was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, February 14 at approximately 3:50 p.m., Jessica Gafanha, a 26-year-old, single, female, self-employed, and a resident of Long Branch, NJ, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding two warrants that were issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00 each. Ms. Gafanha was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.
Harassment
On Tuesday, February 13 at approximately 6:37 p.m., a 54-year-old, Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of harassment. The victim advised that they are being harassed on Facebook by a 48-year-old Middletown, NJ resident. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the reporting officer.
Theft of Property
On Sunday, February 10 at approximately 8:35 a.m., the victim, a 71-year old, Howell, NJ resident, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that on Sunday, February 10 at approximately 8:00 a.m., an unknown male and female subject removed 13 gold coins valued at $4,683.00 from his stand at the Englishtown Auction. The incident was handled by Patrolman Chris Oleksy and is pending further investigation.
Harassment
On Monday, February 11 at approximately 8:04 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Sutton Drive in reference to a verbal dispute regarding the delivery of a refrigerator. The victim, a 31-year-old Linden, NJ resident advised that he was threatened by a 32-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident during the dispute. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, February 11 at approximately 5:35 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop on Taylors Mills Road for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Danielle Matthews, a 36-year-old, divorced, female, customer service representative and resident of Jackson, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Old Bridge Township Court in the amount of $189. Ms. Matthews was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released without bail by the Old Bridge Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Matt Meyler handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, February 11 at approximately 10:42 a.m., Oleg Preisman, a 64 year-old, divorced, male, delivery driver, and resident of Manalapan turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Knowlton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Preisman was processed and released without bail by the Knowlton Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Ross Dessel handled the arrest.
Theft
On Monday, February 11 at approximately 10:20 a.m., the victim, an 83-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that between 11:00 p.m. Sunday, February 10 and 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, an unknown actor removed five reflectors that marked the driveway of the residence. The victim estimated the value of the reflectors at $10. Patrolman Seth Kreizman was the responding officer.

On Sunday, February 10 at approximately 12:14 p.m., the victim, a 54 year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. An unknown actor had opened a cable television account using the victim's name and financial information. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jeff Emslie and is pending further investigation.

On Saturday, February 9 at approximately 1:30 p.m., the victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. An unknown actor had opened a cell phone account using the victim's name and financial information. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Friday, February 8 at approximately 3:52 p.m., the victim, a 48-year old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of harassment. The victim related that he was being continuously and repeatedly harassed by his neighbor, a 52-year-old Manalapan resident. Patrolman Accatatta was the responding officer.
Fraud
On Friday, February 8 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the victim, a 25-year old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. An unknown actor had opened a cable television account using the victim's name and financial information. In addition, an unknown actor had attempted to purchase a television and two iPhones also using the victim's personal information. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jason Vigneault and is pending further investigation.

On Friday, February 8 at approximately 11:47 a.m., Robert Velez, a 31 year-old, married, employed as a laborer, male, resident of Plainsboro turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000. Mr. Velez was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky was the arresting officer.

On Friday, February 8 at approximately 9:57 a.m., John Joseph, a 23-year-old, single salesman, male, resident of Levittown, PA, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000.00. Mr. Joseph was processed and released after posting bail. Officer Jean Letts was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Thursday, February 7, 2019, at approximately 2:17 p.m., the victim, a 67 year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. An unknown actor had fraudulently withdrawn $1,800 from the victim's bank account. Patrolman Chris Oleksy was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Tuesday, February 5 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the victim, a 59-year old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Harassment. The victim advised that on January 30, 2019, the victim received an incoming telephone call from a restricted number that was laced with profanities. Patrolman Phil Accatatta was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, February 5 at 9:15 a.m., Patrolman Seth Kreizman and Patrolman Ross Dessel responded to the Union County Correctional Facility and took custody of Gregory Cromwell, a 30 year old, single, employed as a labor male, resident of East Orange, NJ regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municpal Court in the amount of $1000. Mr. Cromwell was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.
Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Monday, February 4 at approximately 9:23 p.m., Daniel Bisogni, a 22 year-old, unmarried, salesman, male, resident of Marlboro, NJ was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of Tennent Road. Mr. Bisogni was subsequently found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued multiple summonses. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Monday, February 4 at approximately 10:47 a.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim related that an unknown actor made fraudulent debits in the amount of $596.55 against the victim's business bank account. Patrolman Seth Kreizman was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, February 4 at approximately 9:25 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Patrick Smith, a 28-year-old, unmarried, employed as a laborer, male, resident of Willingboro, NJ, was found to have three warrants issued for his arrest by the Burlington Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,747.01. In addition, Mr. Smith had one outstanding warrant for his arrest by the Hudson County Court in the amount of $5,527.53. Mr. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
