Burglary to Motor Vehicles
On Friday, January 18, 2019, at 6:45 p.m., a 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported that during the early morning hours, an unknown actor entered a parked vehicle on Wellington Court and removed items valued at approximately $170. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that additional vehicles in the area had been entered, some of which were left unlocked. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles during the overnight hours and remove all key fobs and valuables from their vehicles. Patrolman John Lightbody took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle
On Friday, January 18, 2019, at 12:40 a.m., a 43-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had stolen a 2018 Honda Accord while it was parked with the key fob in the vehicle at a Hampton Court residence, during the overnight hours. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, January 17, 2019, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Christopher D. Johnson, a 35-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Edison, NJ, was placed under arrest for a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750 after being involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 33 in Manalapan. Mr. Johnson was processed and later released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, January 17, 2019, at approximately 8:08 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Joi Blassingame, a 38-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female, resident of Monroe, was found to have warrants issued for her arrest by the Hightstown Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $2,000, the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000, and two warrants issued by the Monroe Township Municipal Court in the amounts of $1,000 each. Mrs. Blassingame was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and turned over to the Hightstown Police Department. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Shoplifting

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 10:24 p.m., employees of the Wawa convenience store, located at 146 Woodward Rd. in Manalapan reported that a subject, described only as a white male, removed $23 worth of merchandise from the store and left without rendering payment. Wawa staff did not wish to pursue the incident at this time. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the responding
officer.

Fraud
On Wednesday, January 17, 2019, at 5:17 p.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor fraudulently opened a credit card account in the name of the victim. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman John Lightbody was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Manalapan police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Route 9. While conducting the accident investigation, Marissa Meyer, a 35-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Edison, NJ, who is employed as an office manager, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Freehold Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Meyer was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the arresting officer.

Hindering Apprehension/Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 14, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Porricelli conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road for a traffic violation. The operator, identified as Charles F. Metzler 3rd, a 29-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a pest control worker, was placed under arrest after providing a false name. Mr. Metzler was also found to have warrants issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court with no bail amount set and the Aberdeen Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Mr. Metzler was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a court appearance. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest

On Monday, January 14, 2019, at approximately 10:42 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Jordan Rivera, a 25-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Trenton, was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Trenton Municipal Court totaling $2,500.00. Mr. Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting office.
