Harassment
On Sunday, January 21, 2018 at approximately 9:02 p.m., a 21-year-old Marlboro resident, and an 18-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to report an incident of harassment. The victims allege that unknown actor(s) gain unauthorized access to the victim’s social media accounts, and has been messaging unknown subjects to text the victim’s on their personal cell phone. As a result, the victims have been receiving numerous, harassing text messages from unknown subjects. This incident is pending investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, January 21, 2018, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Patrolman Bryan Belardo met with a N.J. State Trooper who had arrested Jason Gaither, a 22-year-old, single, Trenton, resident employed as a mover, on a $164.00 traffic warrant out of Manalapan Twp. Mr. Gaither was turned over to Ptl. Belardo and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.

Theft of Service
On Saturday, January 20, 2018 at approximately 7:03 p.m., a 39-year-old Keyport resident contacted this agency to report a theft of service. The victim alleges that an unknown subject was dropped off in the area of State Route 33 and refused to pay their taxi fare, after being transported by the taxi service. This incident is
pending further investigation and Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, January 20, 2018, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Patrolman Bryan Belardo conducted a motor vehicle stop on Iron Ore Road in the area of Rt. 33 for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Owen Morrison, a 55-year-old, married, male, resident of East Orange, who is employed as a cable installer,
was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the East Orange Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Mr. Morrison was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, January 20, 2018, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Patrolman Bryan Belardo conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 in the area of Sweetman’s Lane for a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Jordan Salt, a 23-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Toms River, who is employed as a landscaper, was
found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $350. Mr. Salt was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.
Harassment
On Friday, January 19, 2018, at approximately 8:36 p.m., a 48-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) have made numerous calls to her house and cell phone and have been leaving harassing voicemails between December 26, 2017 and January 19, 2018. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, January 19, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Sarah Ahmed, a 22-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female, resident of Parlin, NJ, was placed under arrest at the Sayreville Police Department regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Ahmed was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Jason Vigneault handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, January 19, 2018 at 12:49 p.m., Chritop Fitzgerald, a 25-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, who is employed as a construction worker, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Fitzgerald was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jennie Rae Hensley handled the arrest.
Credit Card Fraud/Theft
On Thursday January 18, 2018 at 12:04 p.m., a 58-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unauthorized transactions totaling $6,041.00 were made to the victim’s debit card to between May of 2017 and December of 2017. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 12:16 p.m., Joshua Bouer, a 26-year-old unemployed, unmarried, resident of Howell Township, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $195 and the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $106. Mr. Bouer was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.
Simple Assault
On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a 35-year-old Somers Point resident reported being assaulted by a 31-year-old Staten Island resident while at a Shinnecock Drive residence. The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the altercation and declined to sign complaints at this time. Patrolman

Fraud
On Tuesday, January 16, 2028, at approximately 3:41 p.m., a 42-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor(s) had utilized her credit card information and purchased an item in the amount of $1,922.68 without their authorization. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 11:35 a.m.,, during a motor vehicle crash investigation on Smithburg Road in Manalapan, Melvin Stone, a 31-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Sayreville was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Sayreville Municipal Court totaling
$1,800. Mr. Stone was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance by the Sayreville Municipal Court. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made the arrest.
Burglary
On Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 12:06 a.m., 2 male subjects operating a box truck, forcibly entered the Gordon’s Corner Liquor Store, located at 350 Route 9 North, and removed an undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes. During the course of the burglary, store equipment and several bottles of inventory were
also damaged. The estimated loss has not been determined as of this time, but it is expected to be well in excess of $200. Patrolman Dennis O’Brien took the report, which is pending further investigation by Detective Kevin Schmidt.
Theft
On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 10:34 a.m., a 39-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor removed a Kindle Fire, valued at $200, from her room at the Marianne Manor Group Home located at 327 Route 33, in Manalapan. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report.
Burglary to a Motor Vehicle
On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 3:56 pm, a 54-year-old resident of East Windsor reported that an unknown actor(s) entered and damaged their vehicle while it was parked on Smithburg Road in Manalapan, causing approximately $300.00 in damage. Patrolman Bylsma took the report, which is pending further investigation.
