Shoplifting / Theft
On Sunday, January 27 at 5:30 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler responded to Target, located at 55 US Highway 9 in Manalapan, in reference to a prior shoplifting incident. Target loss prevention reported three unknown individuals entered the business individually and proceeded to load a shopping cart full of merchandise, which included a Roomba automatic vacuum and Lego block sets. The subjects then left the business individually without rendering payment for the merchandise. The total amount of merchandise removed from the business was approximately $1,250.00. Video evidence of the subjects and the vehicle they were operating was captured on interior surveillance video. If anyone has information in reference to this investigation, they are encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday January 27 at approximately 5:29 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Lauren Court for a disorderly female subject. The female subject was identified as a 32-year-old, single accountant of Jackson, NJ, Julia Rosario. Julia was found to have a warrant for $288.00 out of Point Pleasant, NJ. Julia was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. Julia was processed and released with a pending future court. Ptl. Matt Porricelli handled the arrest.

Criminal Mischief
On Sunday January 27 at approximately 2:01 p.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to a residence on Kipling Way for a vandalism report. A 59-year-old resident of Manalapan reported that their vehicle was spray painted with gold paint while parked in the roadway by unknown actor(s) sometime between January 26 at 12:00 p.m. and January 27 at 2:00 p.m. This incident is pending investigation and was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.
Criminal Mischief
On Sunday January 27 at approximately 1:28 p.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to a residence on Thoreau Drive for a vandalism report. A 69-year-old resident of Manalapan reported that their vehicle was spray painted with gold paint while parked in the roadway by unknown actor(s) sometime between January 25 at 2:00 p.m. and January 27 at 2:00 pm. This incident
is pending investigation and was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.

Criminal Mischief
On Sunday January 27 at approximately 1:02 p.m., Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to a residence on Greenleaf Drive for a vandalism report. A 55-year-old resident of Manalapan reported that two of their vehicles were spray painted with gold paint while parked in the roadway by unknown actor(s) sometime between January 26 at 9:30 p.m. and January 27 at 11:30 a.m. This incident is pending investigation and was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, January 17 at approximately 11:27 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle, identified as Lorisa Rivera, a 28-year-old, unmarried, employed as a cook, female, resident of Browns Mills, was found to have warrants issued for her arrest by the Mt. Holly Municipal Court in the amount of $2,508.00, the Pemberton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00, Lakewood Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00 and Camden City Municipal Court for $250. Mrs. Rivera was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released by all municipalities. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Vehicle Theft
On Sunday January 27 at 7:07 a.m., a 41-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) stole his 2015 Black Mercedes Benz S63. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway from 9:00 p.m. January 26 until it was reported stolen at 7:00 a.m. January 27. It is possible that the vehicle was unlocked with a spare key inside. Patrolman Ross Dessel took the report.
Harassment
On Friday, January 25, 2019, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 60-year-old Manalapan resident reported receiving a harassing letter in the mail from an unknown individual. Patrolman Charles Alaimo was the responding officer.
Assault
On Thursday, January 24, 2019, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a 23-year-old Freehold resident, a 28-year-old Freehold resident, and a second 28-year-old Freehold resident were involved in a physical altercation while at the Sportika complex, located at 150 Woodward Rd. in Manalapan. Minor injuries were reported as a result of this incident, however, no criminal complaints were signed at this time. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the responding officer.
Burglary/ Criminal Mischief
On Thursday, January 24, at 3:48 p.m., a 37-year-old Neptune resident reported that unknown actor(s) entered an unoccupied residence on Denise Court in Manalapan and proceeded to spray paint the walls of the residence, causing damage of approximately $1,000. If anyone has any information regarding this incident they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman John Lightbody was the responding officer.
Shoplifting Arrest
On Tuesday January 22 at 2:29 pm, Kelli A. Martisch a 35-year-old single, Union Beach, NJ resident who is currently unemployed was arrested for shoplifting. The arrestee was observed by Target Loss Prevention placing $276.56 worth of merchandise in shopping bags and attempting to leave the store without paying. She was arrested, processed and released pending a future court date. The arrest was made by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.
Theft
On Tuesday, January 22 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 74-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a package valued at $9.99 was stolen from in front of a Cornell Place residence during the overnight hours. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman Seth Kreizman was the
responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, January 22 at approximately 9:57 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on County Road 537 for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger of the vehicle, a 32-year-old male, John Fredella of Browns Mills, NJ, employed as a laborer, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Mercer County. John was arrested, transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and transferred in the custody of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. Ptl. Mattaliano handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 21, 2019 at approximately 11:35 am, Patrolman Charlie Alaimo was investigating a report of a vehicle taken without the owner’s consent in the area of Covered Bridge Boulevard. The suspect, 26-year-old unemployed single male, Justin Schlesier of Manalapan, returned to the scene with the vehicle and was apprehended on a warrant out of Somerset County. Justin was transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and transferred to the custody of the Somerset County Sheriffs Department. Ptl. Alaimo handled the arrest.
Assault
On Monday, January 21, 2019, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a 57-year-old Manalapan resident reported that he was assaulted by a 51-year-old Manalapan resident while at the Manalapan Manor, located at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan. Minor injuries were sustained as a result of this incident, however, no criminal complaints were signed. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the responding officer.
