Motor Vehicle Crash involving a Pedestrian
On Thursday, February 1, 2018, at approximately 6:47 pm a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred in the area of 50 Franklin Lane. A 55-year-old female Manalapan resident was attempting to cross Franklin Lane when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound driven by a 25-year-old male Manalapan resident. Investigation determined the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and crossing Franklin Lane in a dark area not designated with a crosswalk when she was struck. The pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Centra State Medical Center for treatment. She was issued a summons for improper crossing by a pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and did not sustain any injuries. He was issued summonses for not having his registration and insurance card with him at the time of the crash. This incident was handled by Ptl. Brian Schank with assistance from Ptl. Matthew Meyler.

Theft
On Thursday, February 01, 2018, at approximately 9:46 pm, Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to a Saint Andrews Place residence in reference to a report of theft. The victim, a 27-year-old Manalapan resident, reported that an individual stole money from her residence in the amount of $1,200. This incident is
pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, February 01, 2018 at 4:25 pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop on Pension Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, Leah Cooper, 29-year-old married female, unemployed, who resides in Manalapan, was found to have a traffic warrant for her arrest in
the amount of $600 out of Englishtown Borough. Cooper was arrested and processed at headquarters. She was released upon posting bail.

Theft
On Thursday, February 1, 2018, at approximately 3:18 pm, a 56-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to a report she was a victim of theft. The victim alleges that on October 31, 2017, she had individuals over her residence and that one of the individuals was believed to have stolen her jewelry valued at approximately $10,000. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, February 1, 2018, at approximately 2:50 pm, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop for a motor vehicle violation on Rt. 33. It was found that the passenger, identified as Amanda Dunham, a 26-year-old female from Manalapan Township who is unemployed, had a warrant in the amount of $30,000 for failure to appear in Ocean County Superior Court. She was wanted for failure to pay child support, Manalapan police said. Dunham was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed, and subsequently turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office in lieu of bail. The arrest was handled by Patrolman Kyle Williams.

Multiple Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 29, 2018, at approximately 9:15 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for a parking violation. It was found that the driver, Louie Rosciglione, a 26-year-old, single, white, male, employed as a plumber, who resides in of Manalapan, had a suspended driver’s license
and two warrants. One warrant was for child support out of Monmouth County in the amount of $11,948.86 and the other was a traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township in the amount of $1,500. Mr. Rosciglione was arrested, issued four motor vehicle summonses, and advised he could not post bail. Mr. Rosciglione was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, January 29, 2018, at approximately 2:00 am, Patrolman Matthew Mattia and Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to Jackson Township Police Department where William Leahy, a 54-year-old, unmarried, security guard, male, resident of Beachwood, NJ, was placed under arrest regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,501.00. Mr. Leahy was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.
