On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at approximately 11:55am, the victim, a 61-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) utilized his personal information to fraudulently file for unemployment benefits. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie handled the report.

On Monday, July 27, 2020, at approximately 10:05pm, the victim, a 39-year-old, Manalapan resident reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that she lost her cellular phone last week and the phone is now being utilized by an unknown subject. This incident is pending further investigation. On Sunday, July 26, 2020, at approximately 3:13 a.m., the Manalapan Township Police Department responded to a Wild Turkey Way residence for a report of a structure fire. Officers arrived on scene and confirmed that the residence was engulfed in flames. Patrols immediately evacuated the surrounding residences. There were no occupants inside the residence where the fire originated. Numerous fire departments arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The fire is under investigation by Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office and Manalapan Township Police ,Detective Dominick Donatelli, Jr. is assisting with the incident. The Gordon’s Corner Fire Department, Manalapan Township Fire Department, Marlboro Fire Department, Spotswood Fire Department, Robertsville Fire Department, Monroe Township Fire Department, Englishtown Fire Department, East Freehold Fire Department, Monmouth County Fire Marshal, Manalapan Township Fire Marshal, Monmouth County OEM, Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad, Marlboro EMS, Gordons Corner Water Company, Jersey Central Power & Light, and New Jersey Natural Gas all responded and assisted. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the initial responding officer, accompanied by Patrolman Jared Coupland, Patrolman Sean McCarthy, Patrolman Eric Voorand, and Sergeant Richard Gallo. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at approximately 8:44am, patrols responded to a residence on Deer Way in reference to a report of a Structure Fire. Patrols arrived on scene and confirmed that smoke was exiting the residence. Patrols were unable to make contact with possible occupants and forced entry was then made into the home to conduct an interior search, the residence was found unoccupied. Fire department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The fire was investigated by the Manalapan Township Police Department and the
Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office and the preliminary cause was accidental electric and HVAC related. The Gordon’s Corner Fire Department, Englishtown Fire Department, Manalapan Township Fire Department, Manalapan-Englishtown First Aid, Monroe First Aid, New Jersey Natural Gas and Jersey Central Power and Light all responded to the scene to assist. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at approximately 12:45pm, patrols responded to a grocery store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Theft/Shoplifting. A representative from the store advised that the shoplifter had left the store on a bicycle prior to patrols arrival. The suspect was observed on surveillance cameras removing various food items. This case is pending criminal complaints. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.

On Thursday, July 23, 2020, at approximately 7:34pm, the victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Harassment. The victim advised that he is being contacted by an acquaintance who threatened him via telephone. Ptl. Matthew Porricelli handled the report.

On Thursday, July 24, 2020, at approximately 2:03pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Amberly Drive and reported an incident of fraud. The victim, a 77-year-old female and resident of Manalapan advised that an unknown actor(s) utilized her personal information to open a fraudulent account with an online purchasing company. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

On Saturday, July 25, 2020, at approximately 7:45pm, patrols responded to a restaurant located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Simple Assault. The victim, a 38-year-old male and Manasquan resident advised that he was pushed by an unknown male subject. No injuries were reported. Patrolman Slad handled the report.

On Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at approximately 10:54am, an employee of Manalapan Township reported an incident of Theft. The employee advised that a white male was observed carrying a personal laptop out of the electronics recyclable container at the Department of Public Works. The subject then left the area in a vehicle. This case is pending further investigation.

On Monday, July 20, 2020, at approximately 10:19am, the victim, a 37-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on Sunday July 19, 2020, his credit reporting agency advised him of fraudulent activity on his credit report. The victim also advised that an unknown actor(s) attempted to obtain a loan using his personal information through the Office of Disaster Assistance. Patrolman James Joiner handled the report.

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at approximately 3:26pm, a 40-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Terroristic Threats. The victim advised that he was threatened by his neighbor during a verbal dispute. Patrolman Slad handled the report.

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at approximately 5:54am, the victim, a 21-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Harassment and Terrorist Threats. The victim reported that on June 18, 2020, she was harassed and threatened by an unknown individual on a social media platform. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

On Friday, July 17, 2020, at approximately 5:50pm, the victim, a 33-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) filed a false employment claim utilizing her personal information. This case is pending further investigation.
