Criminal Mischief
On Sunday July 22, 2018 at 6:25 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody responded to a residence for a report of criminal mischief. The victim, a 71-year-old resident of Manalapan, reported that sometime between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., unknown actor(s) placed glue in the locking mechanism on the front door of his residence. If anyone has any further information regarding this incident they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, July 21, 2018, at approximately 5:01 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a traffic stop on Franklin Lane for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Raul Pola, a 25-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Jackson, who is employed as a manager, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Pola was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Saturday, July 21, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33, after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Phillip Deangelis, a 30-year-old, married, male, resident of Laurel Springs, NJ, who is employed as a laborer, was found to be in
possession of less then 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Deangelis was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, July 20, 2018, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Cyril Okoye, a 57-year-old, married, male, resident of Princeton, who is self-employed, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Princeton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Okoye was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Fraud
On Thursday, July 19, 2018, at 4:45 p.m., a 67-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor(s) had fraudulently used the victim’s identity to purchase two cellular telephones. No monetary loss was reported by the victim. Patrolman Matthew Meyler took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 6:11 p.m., an employee of a Manalapan-based trucking company reported that an unknown actor(s) misrepresented being a truck repair company and fraudulently obtained $350.00 for repairs. It was later determined after the money was sent that the repair company never existed. Patrolman Brian Schank took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at approximately 1:15 p.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actor(s) made fraudulent debits in the amount of $468.00 against the victim’s business bank account. Patrol Mattaliano took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Vehicle Fire
On Monday, July 16, 2018 at 6:27 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody responded to the Manalapan Recreation Center, located at 95 Route 522, for a report of a vehicle that was on fire. The Englishtown Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire, which was deemed to be non-suspicious in nature by the
Manalapan Township Fire Bureau. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.

Shoplifting
On Monday, July 16, 2018, at approximately 5:24 p.m., employees of Harmon Face Values, located at 357 Route 9 in Manalapan reported that an unknown actor had entered the store and left with unpaid merchandise valued at $299.00. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, July 16, 2018, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Manuel Matias, a 35-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Perth Amboy, who is employed as a custodian, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Woodbridge Municipal Court in the amount of $239.00. Mr. Matias was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Criminal Mischief
On Monday, July 16, 2018, at approximately 1:46 p.m., a 43-year-old Manalapan resident reported that between 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 and the time of the report, an unknown actor(s) had broken two doorbells, valued at approximately $215.00, at an Ogden Lane residence. Patrolman Douglas Zike took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Monday, July 16, 2018, at approximately 12:04 p.m., an 87-year-old Manalapan resident reported that they had paid a contractor a deposit of $2,310.00 to perform maintenance on a Stratford Drive residence, however, the work was never completed. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report, which is pending the signing of complaints.
