MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police, all the arrests and incidents in town in that time period:

Theft of Property
On Tuesday August 6, 2019, at approximately 10:45 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on St. Andrews Place in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 63-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 13, 2019, an unknown actor stole various pieces of jewelry from the victim’s residence. The incident was handled by Patrolman John Lightbody and is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at approximately 10:40 p.m., patrols responded to the East Brunswick Police Department and took custody of a 38-year-old male, married, unemployed and resident of South River, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,078.00. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.

Vehicle Burglary
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at approximately 8:10 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Shira Lane in reference to the report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim, a 56-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours on August 5, 2019, an unknown actor entered his unlocked vehicle while parked in the victim’s driveway. The victim advised that there were no items taken from the vehicle. The incident was handled by Patrolman Christopher Makwinski and is pending further investigation.

Identity Theft/Credit Fraud

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at approximately 12:09 p.m., the victim, a 72-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Wintergreen Drive responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on July 30, 2019, an unknown actor used the victim’s identity to open a credit card and make fraudulent purchases totaling $9,081.09. The incident was handled by Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky and is pending further investigation.

Fraud

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at approximately 10:51 a.m., the victim, a 45-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Hidden Pond Court responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on August 5, 2019, at approximately 1:10 p.m., an unknown actor used the victim’s identity and fraudulently removed cash from the victim’s home equity line of credit. The incident was handled by Patrolman Anthony Cascella and is pending further investigation.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle, Theft

On Monday, August 5, 2019, at approximately 9:43 p.m., the victim, a 67-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Blair Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that sometime in the early morning hours on August 5, 2019, an unknown actor entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of the residence and removed assorted items. The incident was handled by Patrolman Ryan Brady and is pending further investigation.

Motor Vehicle Theft
On Monday, August 5, 2019, at approximately 7:10 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Appaloosa Drive in reference to the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim, a 43-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between the hours of 8:30 p.m. on August 4, 2019 and 6:50 a.m. on August 5, 2019, an unknown actor stole the victim’s vehicle described as a 2017 Maserati GranTurismo. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway with the key fob inside. The incident was handled by Patrolman Kyle Earley and is pending further investigation.

Criminal Attempt (Burglary to a Motor Vehicle)
On Monday, August 5, 2019, at approximately 6:34 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Champions Way for an attempted burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim, a 44-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on August 5, 2019 approximately 4:17am, the victim’s doorbell camera recorded an unknown actor attempting to gain entry to a vehicle located at the victim’s residence. Patrolman Brian Schank was the responding officer this incident is under investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, August 4, 2019, at approximately 10:48 p.m., patrols responded to the Englishtown Police Department and took custody of a 31-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Englishtown, NJ. He had a no-bail warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municpal Court. In addition, he had two other warrants that were issued for his arrest consisting of one warrant issued by the South River Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00 and one warrant that was issued by the Spotswood Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.

Shoplifting
On Sunday, August 4, 2019, at approximately 10:41 a.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to the report of shoplifting. An employee of the business advised that on July 29, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., an unknown actor selected merchandise valued at $307.96 and subsequently left the store without paying. The incident was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma and is pending further investigation.

Burglary/Theft
On Saturday, August 3, 2019, at approximately 11:55 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Whirlaway Road in reference to the report of a burglary. The victim, a 70-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on August 3, 2019, between the hours of 4:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., an unknown actor forcibly entered the victim’s residence and removed jewelry. The incident was handled by Patrolman William Dutton Detectives responded to the scene, and further investigation is pending.

Possession of Less Than 50 grams of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Saturday, August 3, 2019, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, a 24-year-old male, single, employed as a chef and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Friday, August 2, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the victim, a 61-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Kelton Place responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that a known actor and former employee had stolen various collectable items from the victim’s business located on Wilson Avenue. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, August 2, 2019, at approximately at 9:42 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. Two passengers in the vehicle were found to have warrants that were issued for their arrest. A 52-year-old male, married, employed as a laborer and resident of East Orange, NJ, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Hoboken Court in the amount of $99.00. A 40-year-old male, single, employed as a laborer and resident of Elizabeth, NJ, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Elizabeth Court in the amount of $500.00. Both subjects were arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and released without bail as per the Hoboken and Elizabeth Courts. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.

Theft by Deception

On Thursday August 1, 2019, at approximately 2:03 p.m., the victim, a 66-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that on Thursday, August 1, 2019, the victim received a message on his phone by an unknown actor. The actor led the victim to believe that the victim’s phone had a virus and that it could only be removed if the victim sent payment to the actor in the form of gift cards. The victim complied with the request and sent the unknown actor $1,200.00 in gift cards only to realize later that it had been a scam. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, at approximately 2:02 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Amberly Drive in reference to the report of fraud. The victim, an 81-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 9, 2019, an unknown actor utilized the victim’s credit card information and made several fraudulent purchases totaling $1,137.00. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.

Fraud
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, at approximately 1:13 p.m., an employee of a business located on Ikes Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The employee related that between July 2, 2019 and July 19, 2019, an unknown actor utilized the business credit card account information and made several fraudulent purchases totaling $1,187.00. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is pending further investigation.

Theft of Property
On Wednesday July 31, 2019 at approximately 9:26 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Crystal Court in reference to a report of theft. The victim, a 23-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours of July 31, 2019, an unknown actor entered her unlocked vehicle and removed a garage door opener. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest/Trespassing

On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 7:12 p.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 33 in reference to the report of a subject trespassing. The subject, identified as a 51-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed, served with a complaint for defiant trespassing and subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.

Theft of Property
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 1:10 p.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 33 in reference to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, an employee of the business related that a known actor that was banned from patronizing the business had entered the property and removed newspapers. The subject, a 51-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was served with a summons for defiant trespassing. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the responding officer.

Motor Vehicle Theft
On Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at approximately 8:30am, patrols responded to a residence on Crystal Court in reference to the report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim, a 44-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime between 9:45pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 and 5:30am on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, an unknown actor removed the victim’s vehicle from the garage of the residence. The actor appears to have accessed the garage by using a garage door opener that was located in a different vehicle parked unlocked in the driveway of the residence. The stolen vehicle, a 2017 Mercedes S550, was located in the garage with the key fob inside of it. The vehicle is valued at $160,000.00. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jeff Emslie and is pending further investigation from the Detectives assigned.

Property Theft/Fraud
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at approximately 8:01 p.m., Patrolman Zike responded to a business on U.S Highway 9 in reference to a report of property theft. The victim, identified as a 19-year-old Marlboro resident, reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole (2) credit cards and (1) debit card from her purse. The unknown suspect(s) than attempted to utilize the credit cards to make a purchase in the amount of $1,909.00. The transaction was never approved and the credit cards and debit card have since been canceled. Patrolman Zike handled the report.

Identity Theft
On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at approximately 10:18 a.m., the victim, a 19-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Fawn Run responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of identity theft. The victim advised that approximately six months ago, an unknown actor utilized the victim’s personal information and opened an account with an electric service company. Patrolman Dennis O’Brien was the responding officer.

Harassment
On Monday, July 29, 2019, at approximately 2:46 p.m., the victim, a 64-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Chesnut Way responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of harassment. The victim advised that a known actor is repeatedly sending the victim text messages, phone calls and emails. Patrolman Reginald Grant was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, July 28, 2019, at approximately 7:43 a.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to a subject who was acting disorderly. The subject, a 44-year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Freehold, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Old Bridge Municipal Court in the amount of $1,084.00. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and turned over to the custody of the Old Bridge Township Police Department. Patrolman Matthew Mattia was the arresting officer.

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., patrols responded to the Keansburg Police Department and took custody of a 35-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Keansburg, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, July 26, 2019, at approximately 2:00pm, patrols responded to the Neptune Township Police Department and took custody of a 38-year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Neptune, NJ. She had two warrants that were issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,000. She was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Zike was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest

On Friday, July 26, 2019, at approximately 11:38 a.m., a 21-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Plainsboro, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jared Coupland was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Thursday, July 25, 2019, at approximately 6:17pm, patrols responded to the area of Mount Vernon Road in reference to a report of theft. The victim, a telecommunications company from Tinton Falls, NJ advised that between 9:30am on July 24, 2019 and 5:00pm on July 25, 2019, an unknown actor stole a Honda generator valued at $2,400. The generator had been chained to a utility pole on Mount Vernon Road. The incident was handled by Patrolman Ryan Brady and is pending further investigation.

Trespassing
On Thursday, July 25, 2019, at approximately 5:11pm, patrols responded to a business located on Woodward Road in reference to the report of trespassing. The actor, a 67-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was issued a summons for being a defiant trespasser. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at approximately 4:00pm, patrols responded to the Ocean County Correctional Institution and took custody of a 38-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Seaside Heights, NJ. He a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,501 He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
