MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Township police, here are all the major arrests made in Manalapan from July 24-July 30. Traffic warrant arrests have been omitted by Patch.

Vandalism

On Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 7:22 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to the area of Percheron Road in reference to a report of vandalism. The victim, a 66-year-old Manalapan resident, reported that during an 8-hour period their vehicle had been vandalized. The vehicle had two flat tires with a slit mark on each that was consistent with the use of a knife. The damage to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $3,200.

Theft

On Monday July 24, 2017, at approximately 4:14 p.m., a 32-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters to report a theft. The victim reported that at some point in the last two weeks, an unknown actor(s) stole an engagement ring from her residence valued at approximately $25,000. This case is pending further investigation. The report was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma.

Simple Assault

On Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9:02 a.m., a 71-year-old resident of Manalapan reported that he was assaulted by a customer at a business located on Tracey Station Road in Manalapan. The victim reports that a male suspect struck him with an open hand causing him to fall to the ground and strike his head on the pavement. The victim displayed minor injury to his head and declined medical attention. This case is pending complaints with the municipal court and was handled by Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky.
