Theft/Fraud
On Thursday June 14, 2018 at 8:15 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police headquarters in reference to a fraud incident that later was found to be a theft. Unknown subject(s) purchased products through Homedepot.com and shipped the products to the victim’s home without having knowledge of the activity. Two males in FedEx uniforms were seen on the exterior surveillance camera’s the homeowner has affixed to his home removing the packages from the front steps. The subjects do not appear to be FedEx employees. If anyone has information pertaining to this investigation,
they are encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman Matthew Meyler is the investigating officer.

Fraud
On June 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown subject(s) made a purchase of $1061.99 on June 12, 2018 utilizing her Capital One credit card on the website “homedepot.com.” An unknown subject(s) also attempted to gain access to her Verizon Wireless account which subsequently disabled her cell phone. The victim could not think of any potential suspect(s) and this incident is being investigated. Ptl. Aaron Abeles handled the initial report.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle
On June 13, 2018 at 1:28 p.m., patrols responded to 300 Gordon’s Corner Road for a reported stolen vehicle. An 86-year-old Holmdel resident reported that his vehicle was taken while he was eating lunch. The vehicle was unlocked with the key inside. The vehicle was later recovered in New Brunswick after being tracked by Volvo USA. Ptl. Ross Dessel took the report.

Fraud
On June 13, 2018 at approximately 8:34 a.m., a 58-year-old resident of Manalapan reported his New Jersey temporary license plate was duplicated by unknown actor(s) and utilized to drive through tolls during the month of April 2018. The victim received charges totaling $55.00 that were fraudulent and is in the process of disputing the charges with E-Z Pass. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.

Disorderly Person
On 06/12/2018 at approximately 7:21 pm, a 28-year-old Old Bridge resident reported that his employer allegedly struck him and refused to pay him after a day’s work. This agency was unable to gain further information in regard to the employer. This incident is still under investigation. Patrolman Kyle Williams
handled the report.

Fraud
On June 11, 2018 at approximately 6:15 pm, a 52-year-old Manalapan resident reported an unknown actor opened a credit card in his name. The unknown actor then made a purchase on Pay Pal for $1,962.69 under victim’s name. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.

Attempted Burglary
Manalapan Police responded to a business in the Epi-Center on Rt. 9 at 10:50 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 for a report of an attempted burglary. Patrols spoke to store management who related someone attempted to enter through the rear door sometime over this past weekend between June 9, 2018 and June 11,
2018. Damage was observed on the locking mechanism of the door however it was determined that entry was not made. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.

Theft
On Tuesday June 12, 2018, at 12:47 pm patrols responded to the Manalapan Surgery Center regarding a theft of narcotics. The staff reported 4 Oxycodone /Acetaminophen 5 mg / 325 mg pills were removed from the narcotic cabinet sometime during the day on 6/11/18. The count was correct at the end of the day on 6/10/18 and nobody should have had access to the medication on 6/11/18. Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the investigation.
