Theft of a Motor Vehicle
On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at approximately 8:27 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Amberly Drive in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 70-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 11, 2019, the victim allowed a known subject to use her vehicle but the vehicle was never returned. The incident was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma and is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, July 14, 2019, at approximately at 12:59 a.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The passenger of the vehicle, a 25-year-old male, single, employed as a server and resident of New Brunswick, NJ, was found to have four warrants that were issued for his arrest: Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00, the East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00, the New Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $265.00 and the Old Bridge Municipal Court in the amount of $228.00. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, July 12, 2019, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a 37-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Millstone, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Long Branch Municipal Court. He was processed and turned over to the custody of the Long Branch Police Department. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Friday, July 12, 2019, at approximately 7:57am, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to the report of a theft. An employee of the business advised that on July 12, 2019 between the hours 7:20am and 7:27am, an unknown actor removed a microwave valued at $404.99 from the outside rear of the business. Patrolman James Joiner was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, July 11, 2019, at approximately 1:07am, patrols met with officers from the Matawan Police Department and took custody of a 20-year-old female, single, employed as a salesperson and resident of Cliffwood, NJ. She had a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municpal Court in the amount of $1,000. She was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Officer Kimberly Whitehill was the arresting officer.
Trespassing
On Thursday, July 11, 2019 at approximately 9:51am, patrols responded to a business located on Woodward Road in reference to a report of a repeat defiant trespasser on the property. Further investigation revealed that the subject, a 51-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to have trespassed on the property. He was served at the scene with a summons and released. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at approximately 8:35 p.m., a 51-year-old male, married, self employed and resident of Pemberton NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the arresting officer.
Criminal Mischief
On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at approximately 9:45 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Chestnut Way in reference to a report of criminal mischief. The victim, a 30-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between July 6, 2019 and July 10, 2019, a known actor purposely damaged a garage door at the victim’s residence. Patrolman Philip Accatatta was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at approximately 3:52 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Taylors Mills Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Further investigation revealed that a 19-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of South River, NJ had a warrant that was issued for
his arrest by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $2,500. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township police headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at approximately 11:39am, a 20-year-old male, single, employed as a server and resident of North Bergen, NJ, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman James Joiner was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at approximately 12:20pm, the victim, a 54-year- old Freehold, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township police headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that on July 10, 2019, at approximately 12:15pm, an unknown actor stole her purse and iPhone while she was shopping at a business located on State Highway 9 in Manalapan, NJ. The incident was handled by Patrolman Anthony Cascella and is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Thursday, July 11, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Station Street in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 20-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that earlier on July 11, 2018, the victim had a party at his residence. During the party, an unknown actor stole the victim’s cell phone, two watches and a sports jersey from the victim’s bedroom. The incident was handled by Officer Kimberly Whitehill and is pending further investigation.
Burglary to a motor vehicle, Theft, Fraud
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 5:46 pm, the victim, a 59-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Fawn Run responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that sometime during the early morning hours on July 9, 2019, an unknown actor entered the victim’s vehicle and removed the victim’s wallet containing the victim’s credit cards. The credit cards were subsequently used to make fraudulent purchases at locations in Freehold and East Brunswick. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the victim’s residence. The incident was handled by Patrolman John Lightbody and is pending further investigation.
Theft by Deception
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 5:34 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Wild Turkey Way in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 95-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 9, 2019, at approximately 11:00 a.m., an unknown actor told the victim via telephone that her grandson was arrested and she needed to provide the unknown actor with cash
in order for her grandson to be released. The victim provided the actor with $1,000 and subsequently learned that she had been the victim of a scam. The incident was handled by Patrolman Accatatta and is pending further investigation.
Criminal Mischief
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 6:56 p.m., the victim, a 29-year-old Franklin Park, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim advised that between June 30, 2019 and July 5, 2019 an unknown actor damaged the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at a business located on Craig Road. The victim’s vehicle was repeatedly scratched causing approximately $1,748.49 in damages. The incident was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma and is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 12:29 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a traffic violation. The driver, a 39-year-old male, single, employed as a sales manager and resident of Centerville, MD was found to have seven warrants that were issued for his arrest from multiple jurisdictions totaling $1,170.00. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released without bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the victim, a 28-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that between 2012 and 2016, a known actor used the victim’s personal financial information to cosign multiple student loans. The incident was handled by Officer Letts and is pending further investigation.
Criminal Mischief
On Monday, July 8, 2019, at approximately 6:36 p.m., patrols responded to a facility located on State Highway 33 in reference to the report of criminal mischief. An employee of the facility advised that on Monday, July 8, 2019, a known subject poured paint over a dirt and gravel driveway. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, July 8, 2019, at approximately 2:05 p.m., patrols responded to the Monroe Police Department and took custody of a 22-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Monroe, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. He was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released without bail as per Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Oleksy was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Cherry Hill Lane in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 41-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours on Saturday, July 6, 2019, an unknown actor entered her vehicle and removed various items. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 3:08 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Alexandria Drive in reference to the report of harassment. The victim, a 42-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that she is being harassed via telephone by a known female subject. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Saturday July 6, 2019, at approximately 2:45 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Wentworth Court. The subject, a 40-year-old female, employed as a massage therapist and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Englishtown Municipal Court in the amount of $501. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released without bail as per the Englishtown Municipal Court. Patrolman James Joiner was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 12:12 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Newport Drive in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 37-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours on July 6, 2019, an unknown actor entered his vehicle and removed cash. The vehicle was unlocked and parked on Newport Drive in front of the residence. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 11:19 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Devon Drive in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 59-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours on Saturday, July 6, 2019, an unknown actor entered her vehicle and removed various items. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the responding officer.

On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 10:38 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Belle Terre Drive in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, a 54-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the early morning hours on Saturday, July 6, 2019, an unknown actor entered his vehicle and removed various items. The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway of the residence. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the responding officer.
Motor Vehicle Theft
On Saturday, July 6, 2019, at approximately 7:12 am, the victim, a 22-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from Plymouth Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of motor vehicle theft. The victim advised that on July 6, 2019 at approximately 3:56 a.m., unknown actors stole the victim’s vehicle from the driveway of his residence. The incident was handled by Patrolman Ross Dessel and is pending further investigation.
Fraud
On Friday, July 5, 2019, at approximately 1:54 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Villanova Drive in reference to the report of a fraud. The victim, a 26-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 5, 2019 an unknown actor made unauthorized fraudulent transactions on the victim’s credit card. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the responding officer.
Shoplifting Arrest
On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at approximately 4:13 p.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to the report of a subject shoplifting. The subject, a 38-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be shoplifting. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.
Vandalism
On Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 9:32 a.m., patrols responded to Neal Drive for report of vandalism. A resident of Neal Drive reported that his vehicle had all four tires slashed while parked in the driveway sometime between 10:00pm on 7-2-19 and 9:30am on 7-3-19. No other vehicles in the area were damaged. Ptl. Letts handled the report which remains under investigation.
Fraud
On Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 2:32 p.m. patrols responded to Police Headquarters for a fraud call. An 18-year-old Gettysburg Drive, Manalapan resident alleges he was scammed out of money from a subject he says he met through a phone app. He alleges he sent prepaid gift card numbers to what he believed was a woman that he had contact with through this app. Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the report.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at approximately 6:30 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Old Queens Blvd in reference to the report of a Fraud. The victim, a 45-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on June 14, 2019, in Lake Wales, Florida, an unknown actor used the victim’s credit card and made two fraudulent transactions. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the responding officer.
Theft
On Monday, July 1, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Saint Andrews Place in reference to the report of a theft. The victim, an 81 year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on July 1, 2019, an unknown actor stole a package that was delivered and left outside the building by the delivery service. The package contained costume jewelry. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, July 1, 2019, at approximately 10:22 a.m., a 42-year-old female, married, unemployed and resident of Elizabeth, NJ, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. She was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Earley was the arresting officer.

On Monday, July 1, 2019, at approximately 10:15 am, a 48-year-old female, married, unemployed and resident of Washington DC, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. She was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie was the arresting officer.
Harassment
On Saturday, June 30, 2019, at approximately 11:05pm, patrols responded to a residence on Longwood Drive in reference to a report of harassment. The victim, a 44-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on June 30, 2019, from approximately 8:00pm until 11:00pm, a known subject was harassing the victim by refusing to leave his property. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the responding officer.
Possession of Less than 50 grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia
On Sunday, June 30, 2019, at approximately 5:21pm, patrols responded to the area of Tennent Road for a report of a one car motor vehicle collision. Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old female, single, unemployed and resident of Chesterfield, NJ, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, June 29, 2019, at approximately 1:51pm, Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop on Tuppence Road for a traffic violation. The passenger, a 32-year-old male, single, employed as a landscaper and resident of Englishtown, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department in the amount of $20,594.57. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and remanded to the Middlesex County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Saturday, June 29, 2019, at approximately 12:44pm, the victim, a 23-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident from South Foxcroft Road responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on June 29, 2019 an unknown actor used the victim’s personal information to obtain a credit card which was subsequently declined. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.
