Theft of Purse
On Sunday June 10 at approximately 3:40 p.m., a 49-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown subject(s) entered her garage on Bailey Court sometime between 12:00 pm Friday June 8, 2018 and 9:00 am Saturday June 9, 2018 and removed her purse. The total value of all the items stolen was approximately $2,189.00. No suspects at this time. Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, June 9, 2018, at approximately 9:12 p.m., Patrolman Christopher Makwinski conducted a traffic stop on Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The operator of the vehicle, Kevin Mackiewicz, a 22-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Millstone Township, who is employed as a roofer, was found to have two warrants issued for his arrest by the Wall Township Municipal Court totaling $800.00. Mr. Mackiewicz was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Friday, June 8, 2018, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a 38-year-old Manalapan resident reported that packages purchased online were delivered, but they were never received by the victim. The missing items were valued at approximately $645.00. Patrolman Jason Vigneault took the report, which is pending further
investigation.
Fraud
On Friday, June 8, 2018, at approximately 2:09 p.m., a 42-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report a fraud. The victim was contacted via telephone by actor(s) claiming to be agents from the Internal Revenue Service and was told that there was a warrant for his
arrest. The victim subsequently provided $2,500 worth of gift cards to the actors as payment. Residents are reminded that this is an ongoing telephone scam and to not send items of value regarding these types of scam calls. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, June 7, 2018, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Sef R. Mohammed, a 31-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Philadelphia, who is employed as a warehouse worker, was arrested at the Burlington County Correctional Institution regarding a $1,000 warrant that was issued by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Mr. Mohammed was subsequently transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the arresting officer.
Fraud
On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 57-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that unknown actors had fraudulently withdrawn approximately $25,000 from the victim’s retirement account. Patrolman Seth Kreizman took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Fraud
On Monday, June 4, 2018, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a 47-year-old Manalapan Township resident reported that an unknown actor attempted to withdraw $5,000.00 from the victim’s bank accounts on May 29, 2018. The account was subsequently closed and no money had been obtained by the actor. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson took the report.
Theft
On Monday, June 4, 2018 at approximately 4:20 p.m., a 36-year-old resident of Linden reported that unknown actor(s) stole a trailer from a business located on Route 33 in Manalapan between 4:00 p.m. on June 3, 2018 and 6:45 a.m. on June 4, 2018. The trailer was valued at $10,000.00. Patrolman Peter Bylsma
took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Fraud
On Saturday June 9, 2018 at approximately 5:45 p.m. two black females entered the Wegmans on Route 9 and attempted to pass counterfeit $100.00 bills. The first suspect purchased merchandise for $6.39 and received change before leaving the store. The second was questioned on the authenticity of the bill she attempted to pass and subsequently left the store leaving her merchandise and counterfeit bill behind. Investigation by Wegmans security revealed the also passed counterfeit bills at 6 other Wegmans throughout the state over the past couple days. The incident was handled by Ptl. Anthony Cascella
