Counterfeit Currency
On April 1, 2019 at 12:43 a.m. an unknown female passed a fraudulent $100 bill at a business located on Union Hill Road, Manalapan, NJ. The suspect made a purchase and received change in exchange for the fraudulent bill. The suspect then left the area and is described as being a Hispanic female, in her twenties, with auburn-colored hair, freckles, thin build, with a tattoo on her left hand. Patrolman Brian Cruse is investigating the incident; anyone with information please contact this agency, (732)446-4300.
Vandalism / Criminal Mischief
On Monday, April 1, 2019, at 10:15 a.m., a 73-year-old Elliot Road Manalapan resident reported that his mailbox was damaged sometime between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday March 31, 2019 by unknown actor(s). The victim reported that his mailbox was dented and damaged. Patrolman James Joiner took the report.

Harassment
On Sunday, March 31, 2019 at approximately 10:23 a.m., Patrolman Philip Accatatta responded to an Amberly Drive residence in regard to a harassment report. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 75-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a neighbor was repeatedly making loud noises over the course of several weeks in an attempt to harass them. Criminal Mischief
On Monday, March 31, 2019, at 10:11 a.m., the victim, a 61-year-old Ryan Road Manalapan resident reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown actor(s) had thrown a large rock through their vehicle’s window sometime between Saturday, March 30, 2019 and Sunday, March 31, 2019. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report.

Simple Assault
On Friday, March 29, 2019, at approximately 6:23 p.m., the victims, a 49 year-old Tinton Falls, NJ resident, and two 18 year-old Tinton Falls, NJ residents responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report an incident of assault. The victims allege that on earlier Friday, March 29, 2019, while at a residence in Manalapan, NJ the three victims were assaulted by a person known
to them. This incident is pending investigation by Patrolman Peter Bylsma.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday March 29, 2019, at approximately 6:16 p.m., Kevin Darbo, a 22-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Little Egg Harbor, NJ turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Darbo was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jared Coupland was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Thursday, March 28, 2019 at approximately 9:30 a.m., the victim, a 24-year- old, Toms River, NJ resident, reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that on March 28, 2019, at approximately 9:00 a.m., she left her phone in the restroom of a business located in Manalapan, NJ. A short time later, the victim attempted to retrieve the cell phone from the restroom but it was gone. The cell phone is valued at approximately $850. The incident was handled by Patrolman Ross Dessel and is under investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Patrolman Matthew Meyler conducted a motor vehicle stop on US Highway 9 for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Brandon Cruz, 21-year-old male, single, employed as a laborer and resident of Avenel, NJ was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Woodbridge Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Cruz was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Matthew Meyler was the arresting officer.
Theft
On Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at approximately 11:06 a.m., the victim, a 57-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that between December 8, 2018 and March 27, 2019 an unknown actor stole her diamond earrings from inside their Notting Hill Court residence. The earrings are valued at approximately $3,000. The incident was reported to and handled by Patrolman Ross Dessel and is currently under investigation.
Suspicious Incident
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 7:16 p.m., the victim, a 52-year-old Gold Court Manalapan, NJ resident reported suspicious activity. The victim advised that on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, the victim received a suspicious envelope in the mail. Further investigation revealed that the letter was an advertisement and it was discarded. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer.
Fire Call
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 6:28 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Templar Road in reference to the report of a brush fire. Upon arrival, patrols located a brush fire that was approximately 10 yards in diameter. The fire was subsequently extinguished and the area was deemed safe by the Gordon’s Corner Fire Department. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the responding officer.
Harassment
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 4:35 p.m., the victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported an incident of harassment. The victim advised that an unknown actor had made a post on social media containing the victim’s email address resulting in numerous unwanted emails being sent to the victim. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the responding officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 4:01 p.m., Olivia Cairns, a 24-year-old female, single, employed as a barber and resident of Jackson, NJ turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Ms. Cairns was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 11:14 a.m., Patrolman Ruditsky conducted a motor vehicle stop on Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan, NJ for a traffic violation. The driver, Todd Francis, a 45-year-old male, single, employed as a driver and resident of Staten Island, NY was found to have three warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Jackson Municipal Court, Irvington Municipal Court and Stafford Municipal Court for a total of $810. Mr. Francis was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky was the arresting officer.
Theft/Forgery/Credit Card Fraud
On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately 10:41 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Union Hill Road, Manalapan, NJ in reference to the report of theft and fraud. The victim, a 53-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between March 14 and March 18, 2019 an unknown actor removed two credit cards and a checkbook from the victim’s pocketbook. Multiple transactions were attempted using the credit cards but they were declined. An unknown actor cashed a check from the stolen checkbook in the amount of $630. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis and is pending investigation.
Vandalism
On Monday, March 25, 2019, at approximately 3:17 p.m., the victim, a 42-year-old Manalapan, New Jersey resident reported an incident of vandalism. The victim advised that an unknown actor had egged her vehicle during the overnight hours of Friday, March 22, 2019 while the vehicle was parked on Belaire Lane within Manalapan Township. The victim advised that there was no permanent damage to the vehicle. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis was the responding and reporting officer.
Criminal Mischief
On Monday, March 25, 2019, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the victim, a 31-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown actor(s) had thrown eggs at a residence on Molly Pitcher Drive between Sunday, March 24, 2019 and Monday, March 25, 2019. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report.
Car Burglary
On Monday, March 25, 2019, at approximately 9:31am, patrols responded to two residences on Glendale Drive, Manalapan, NJ in reference to the report of a car burglary. The victims, 26-year-old and 62-year-old Manalapan, NJ residents advised that an unknown actor had entered their vehicles during the early morning hours on Monday, March 25, 2019. It should be noted that both vehicles were left unlocked and that no belongings were removed from either vehicle. The incident was handled by Officer Letts and is pending investigation; the Manalapan Township Police would like to remind its residents and visitors to lock your vehicle doors overnight and remove valuables from your vehicle when parking it.
