Manalapan Police Blotter, March 26 - April 1
A woman said her wallet was stolen at the Panera on Rt. 9 in Manalapan this past Saturday, March 31.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by the Manalapan police department, and unedited by Patch, all the arrests and incidents in the Township last week:
Theft
On Saturday, March, 31 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a 45-year-old resident of Old Bridge responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that her wallet, containing various credit cards and approximately $130 in cash, was stolen while at the Panera Bread restaurant, located at 31 Rt. 9 in Manalapan. The suspect is described as a black female with dreadlocks, wearing a white shirt. Patrolman Jean Letts took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Thursday, March 29 at approximately 9:37 p.m., a 62-year-old Long Branch resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that during the course of three weeks, an unknown actor removed approximately $940 in cash from his wallet while performing work at a Manalapan residence. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 29 at approximately 4:14 p.m., Arturo Rodriguez, a 52-year-old, unmarried, self-employed, male resident of Elizabeth NJ, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Mr. Rodriguez was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, March 29 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Elizabeth Newman, a 36-year-old, married female resident of Marlboro, who is employed as a program director, turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $314.00. Mrs. Newman was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Sean McCarthy handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, March 28 at approximately 9:15 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 in Manalapan Township for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle, Taleatha Bibbens, a 39-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female, resident of Matawan, NJ, was found to have five warrants issued for her arrest by the Bass River Township Municipal Court totaling $500, the Middletown Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,500, the Tinton Falls Township Municipal Court in the amount of $408 and the Long Branch Township Municipal Court in the amount of $380. Ms. Bibbens was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.
Obstructing the Administration of Law
On Tuesday, March 27 at approximately 11:50 p.m., Patrolman Sean McCarthy conducted a motor vehicle stop on Woodward Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. During the motor vehicle stop, a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Charles Klingebiel, a 25-year-old, unmarried, unemployed male resident of Englishtown, NJ was placed under arrest and charged with Obstructing the Administration of Law. Klingebiel was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued a summons.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, March 27 at approximately 1:07 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Rt. 9 south. A passenger of one of the vehicles, identified as Anthony Cherry, a 35-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male resident of Newark, NJ, was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the South River Municipal Court in the amount of $1,132. Mr. Cherry was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and turned over to the South River Police Department in lieu of bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Tuesday March 27 at approximately 10:13 a.m., Jason Frates, a 44-year-old, married, unemployed male resident of Freehold, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Department regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Mr. Frates was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel handled the arrest.

On Monday, March 26 at approximately 12:40 p.m., Jordan Reese, a 23-year-old, unmarried, unemployed male resident of Manalapan, NJ, was placed under arrest at the Monmouth County Probation Facility regarding two warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court totaling $810. Mr. Reese was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
