Fraud
On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at approximately 8:44pm, the victim, a 30-year-old California resident reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on May 29, 2020 a Manalapan resident defrauded him by accepting payment for items that were never sent. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.
Theft
On Saturday, May 30, 2020, at approximately 12:53pm, the victim, a 57-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised police that her unlocked vehicle was burglarized sometime between May 27, 2020 7:30pm and May 28, 2020 8:30am at her residence on Thomas Drive. The victim reported multiple personal items were removed from the interior of the vehicle. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

Harassment
On Friday, May 29, 2020, at approximately 3:56pm, the victim, a 30-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Harassment. The victim advised that he was verbally harassed by another male while on Oxford Road in the township. Patrolman Philip Accatatta handled the report.

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, at approximately 5:07pm, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of a Theft. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had removed several items and left the business without paying. Although the suspect left the scene prior to patrols' arrival, the suspect was identified as a 24-year-old Manalapan resident. A representative of the business advised that the business was later paid in full the retail value of the stolen merchandise and denied prosecution of the suspect. Patrolman Philip Accatatta handled the report.
Harassment
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at approximately 5:45pm, patrols responded to Kelso Place in reference to a report of Harassment. Both parties, a 76-year-old Manalapan resident and a 63-year-old, Manalapan resident reported harassment between each other. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report.
Harassment
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at approximately 4:45pm, the victim, a 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Harassment. The victim reported that he was texted from an unknown subject and phone number. The victim was advised to block the number and not respond back. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report.
Fraud
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at approximately 9:45am, a 51-year-old Manalapan resident reported an incident of Fraud. The victim reported having five fraudulent mobile telephone accounts in his name created by unknown actor(s). The victim received a bill for each new line that was created. Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.
Theft
On Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 12:27pm, patrols responded to a convenience store located on Smithburg Road for a report of Theft. An employee from the store advised that a male and female couple removed several items without paying. The suspects then left the area in a white pickup. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.
Environmental Complaint
On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at approximately 5:50pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Sobecko Road in reference to a report of Illegal Dumping. The victim, a 23-year-old, Colts Neck, NJ resident advised that an unknown actor(s) dumped garbage into his dumpster without permission. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Philip Accatatta handled the report.
Identity Theft
On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at approximately 8:00pm, the victim, a 47-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported an incident of Identity Theft. The victim advised that unknown actor(s) fraudulently opened a credit card in his name. The victim was able to close the account prior to any fraudulent charges being made. Theft
On Sunday, May 24, 2020, at approximately 5:10pm, the victim, a-59-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that in May 2020, he reported that his NJ license plate was removed from his vehicle. He then received a delinquent EZ Pass bill from the stolen license plate that was being fraudulently utilized. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.
Fraud
On Saturday, May 23, 2020 at approximately 9:17am, the victim, a 43-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) sent an email to his employer requesting a change of his direct deposit information. A subsequent deposit was then made to the fraudulent account. This case is pending investigation. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.
Theft
On Thursday, May 21, 2020 at approximately 5:53pm, a representative from a clothing bin collection business located in Montvale, NJ reported an incident of Theft. The representative advised that sometime before Tuesday, May 19, 2020, two metal clothing bins were unlawfully removed from a location within the Symmes Road Commuter Lot. The total loss reported was approximately $2,700.00. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Jason Vigneault handled the report.
Theft
On Friday, May 22, 2020, at approximately 1:58pm, the victim, a 37-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) entered her unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of her residence located on Cozy Drive and removed her purse and all contents within. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the report.
Motor Vehicle Theft
On Thursday, May 21, 2020, at approximately 7:30pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Meadow Green Circle in reference to a report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The victim, a 72-year old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on May 20, 2020, she loaned her 2020 Lexus ES3 to a family member and it has yet to be returned. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Sean McCarthy handled the report.
Motor Vehicle Theft
On Tuesday, May 21, 2020, at approximately 10:12am, patrols responded to a residence located on Crest Fruit Court in reference to a report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The victim, a 51-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime between May 20, 2020 at approximately 10:00pm and May 21, 2020 at approximately 10:00am, his personally owned vehicle was removed from his driveway. The key fob was left in the vehicle at the time it was taken. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the report.
Environmental Complaint
On Wednesday May 20, 2020 at approximately 7:07pm, the victim, a 23-year-old Colts Neck, NJ resident reported an incident of Illegal Dumping. The victim advised that an unknown subject(s) dumped a significant amount of garbage in a private dumpster owned by the victim on Sobechko Road. Patrolman John Lightbody handed the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at approximately 1:32am, patrols responded to the East Windsor Police Department and took custody of Minkah Obordum, a 34-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Lorton, VA. Mr. Obordum had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Police Department related to a burglary investigation from 2019. Mr. Obordum was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
Shoplifting
On Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at approximately 2:22pm, patrols responded to a department store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Shoplifting. Further investigation revealed that Stephen A. Martin, a 38-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Linwood, NJ shoplifted approximately $1186.00 worth of items. Mr. Martin was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Shoplifting. Mr. Martin was then released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Anthony Cascella was the arresting officer.
