Criminal Mischief
On Saturday May 26, 2018 at 11:17 p.m. Patrolman Brian Cruse responded to Woodward Road and Route 33 for a reported road rage incident where a white male suspect caused damage to the victim’s vehicle by kicking the passenger side door. The victim, a 39-year-old Jackson Township resident, was able to provide the license plate and description of the suspect’s vehicle and make a positive identification of the suspect. This incident is pending complaints.
Theft of Property
On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximate 5:00 p.m., a 59-year-old Manalapan resident responded to this agency to report the theft of a license plate. The victim reported that unknown actor(s) stole the front license plate from her vehicle sometime between 05/23/2018 and 05/26/2018. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 2:51 p.m. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to a call for service for a disabled motor vehicle on Monmouth Road near Shira Lane. The driver, identified as Richard Khweye, a 22-year-old, unmarried, male, employed as a driver’s helper, resident of Avenel, was found to have a traffic warrant issued for his arrest by Woodbridge Municipal Court in the amount of $295.00. Mr. Khweye was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and posted bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis made the arrest.

On Monday, May 26, 2018, at approximately 10:29 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on US 9 South. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Debbieann Ayala, a 41-year-old, unmarried, female, employed as a waitress, resident of Asbury Park, was found to have a criminal warrant issued for her arrest by the Asbury Park Municipal Court in the amount of $101.00. Mrs. Ayala was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and posted bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, May 25, 2018, at approximately 1:47 p.m. Gilchrist Smith, a 60-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Perth Amboy, was arrested by the North Plainfield Police Department regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Gilchrist was transported from North Plainfield Police Department to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail by Patrolman Christopher Makwinski and Patrolman Douglas Zike.

On Friday, May 25, 2018, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Mario Malfitano, a 34-year-old, unmarried, self-employed, male, resident of Staten Island, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Malfitano was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel made the arrest.
DWI
On Thursday, May 24, 2018, at approximately 8:41 pm, patrols responded to the area of Justin Way for a fight in progress. Further investigation on scene led to the arrest of Jill Clark, 53-year-old, white, widowed, female, who is employed as an office manager, for driving while intoxicated. Ms. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and issued multiple summonses for DWI, careless driving, reckless driving and obstructed windshield. Ms. Clark was released to a relative with a pending court date. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the arrest.
Fraud
On Thursday May 24, 2018 at 2:23 PM, a 41-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to file a fraud report. Someone gained access to her debit card and charged $1,320.10 worth of charges on this date. The account has since been closed and the bank is investigating. Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the report.
Theft of Property
On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at approximately 9:35 pm, Patrolman Douglas Zike and Patrolman Christopher Makwinski responded to 55 U.S Highway 9, Target in reference to a report of theft. Further investigation lead to the shoplifting arrest of Jill Rammairone, a 58-year-old, married, female who is employed as a sales associate. Mrs. Rammairone was processed and released on a summons with a pending court date. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the arrest.
Theft
On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at approximately 10:28 am, employees of a Somerville-based painting contractor company that was working on Gordon’s Corner Road, reported the theft of a paint sprayer valued at $7,200.00 from the construction site. This incident occurred on May 22, 2018 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Theft
On Monday, May 22, 2018, at approximately 4:54 p.m., a 52-year-old Manalapan resident reported an unknown actor(s) gained access to her bank account resulting in a reported loss of $36,700.00. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Simple Assault
On Monday, May 21, 2018, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a 36-year-old, Manalapan resident reported that they were assaulted by an 18-year-old Manalapan resident at a Smithburg Road residence. The victim did not wish to pursue complaints and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, May 21, 2018, at approximately 11:21 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on US Route 33 East. The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Christopher Pacheco, a 40-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Howell, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Bergen County Superior Court in the amount of $3,399.57. Mr. Pacheco was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transferred to MCCI in Lieu of bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano made the arrest.
Harassment
On Sunday, May 20, 2018, at approximately 6:02 p.m., a 40-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report and on-going harassment complaint regarding erratic driving in the area of the victim’s residence. This incident is pending complaints. Patrolman Peter Bylsma took the report.
