Manalapan Police Blotter, Nov. 12 - Nov. 18

A resident in the Covered Bridge condo complex said their car was keyed last Monday, Nov. 12.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests and incidents in the Township:

Fraud
On Saturday, November 17 at approximately 8:37 p.m., a 37-year-old Old Bridge resident reported that his debit card was attempted to be used at the Manalapan Target in the amount of $650.39. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, November 17 at approximately 6:10 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams responded to Deer Way for a police service incident. A subject involved, identified as Justine Capellan, a 35-year-old, married, unemployed, female resident of Manalapan, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $501.00. Mrs. Capellan was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Fraud
On Saturday, November 17 at approximately 1:32 pm an 18-year-old Manalapan resident reported she was coerced on Instagram into providing another user her bank account information. The suspect account promised the victim compensation if the suspect could deposit checks into her bank account. The victim would then make the cash withdrawal and send the suspect the cash. After the victim withdrew the money she later learned this was a scam. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the incident.

Fraud
On Saturday, November 17 at approximately 12:47 pm a 46-year-old Manalapan resident reported that her signature was forged on a gym contract and has paid $1,179.84 for a contract she did not sign up for. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.

Fraud
On Thursday, November 15 at 7:07 p.m. a 34-year-old Manalapan resident checked his online bank account and found that his debit card used four times at a Wawa in Woodbridge, NJ for a total of $400. This incident was handled by Ptl. Vigneault.

Driving While Intoxicated

On Wednesday, November 14 at 09:44 p.m., Ptl. Sean McCarthy conducted a motor vehicle stop on Taylor Mills Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. During the motor vehicle stop it was determined that the driver, Christopher Randolph, a 58-year-old single South Carolina resident who is employed as a president of his company, was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. Randolph was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released pending a future court date. Ptl. Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 a.m., Jose Tatis, a 21-year-old unmarried, unemployed, male, resident of Hazelton, PA, was placed under arrest by the Hillsborough Township Police regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. Patrolman Aaron Abeles subsequently took custody of Mr. Tatis and transported him to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.

Vandalism
On Monday, November 12 at approximately 7:53 p.m., a 69-year-old Manalapan resident reported that within a fourteen-hour period, an unknown suspect(s) had vandalized their vehicle causing an estimated $1,000 in damage by keying his vehicle while it was parked in the Covered Bridge
development. The victim provided a possible suspect but the investigation did not reveal any further evidence. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled this report.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, November 12 at approximately 4:06 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Route 33 East in Manalapan for a traffic violation that was observed. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jaquan Stewart, a 25-year-old, unmarried, laborer, male, resident of Neptune, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Freehold Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1,169.00. Mr. Stewart was placed under arrest and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released pending a new court date. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, November 12 at approximately 9:19 p.m., Ptl. Douglas Zike and Ptl. Christopher Makwinski, responded to Woodbridge Township to take into custody a subject that the New Jersey State Police had in their custody on a $1,000 traffic warrant issued against him from the Manalapan Township Court. The arrestee, 29-year-old Nicholas Armangeon is a single bartender from Old Bridge Township, NJ. Nicholas was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of bail. Ptl. Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest

On Thursday November 15 Tanisha Cheatum, a 24-year-old single Manalapan resident employed as a care technician, responded to police headquarters to turn herself in on an active warrant out of Manalapan Twp. for $1,000.00. Cheatum was processed, she posted bail and she was release. Det. Bryan Belardo handled the incident.
