Criminal Mischief
On Monday, November 25, 2019, at approximately 6:15 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Wintergreen Drive in reference to a report of criminal mischief. The victim, a 22-year-old Plainsboro, NJ resident, reported that her vehicle was keyed sometime during the previous night while it was parked in a driveway on Wintergreen Drive. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report.

Fraud
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at approximately 12:00 p.m., the victim, a 50-year-old Milford, Kansas resident reported that a subject made two fraudulent charges on his credit card totaling $828.00. One of these charges was made to a business located in Manalapan. The case is pending further investigation. The report was handled by Sergeant Robert Herring.

Burglary/Theft
On Monday, November 25, 2019 at 7:22 a.m., patrols responded to a self-storage facility on Madison Ave., Manalapan, NJ for a reported burglary in progress. The initial victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, reported observing two suspects with what appeared to be bolt cutters, breaking into several storage units. The suspects then fled the scene operating a silver Honda Odyssey with an unknown registration. Through further investigation, it was determined that several storage units were broken into. This incident is currently under investigation by Patrolman Christopher Oleksy and Detective Jennie Hensley of the Manalapan Township Police Department.

Vehicle Burglary
On Sunday, November 24, 2019, at approximately 2:49 p.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Pension Road in reference to a report of a Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim, a 35-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that between November 22, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on November 23, 2019, an unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked motor vehicle and removed a wallet containing cash. The report was handled by Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky.

Extortion

On Friday, November 22, 2019, at approximately 9:01 p.m., the victim, a 33-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of extortion. The victim advised an individual is in possession of personal videos of him from an online video chat application, and is threatening to release the videos publicly unless the victim pays a sum of money to them. The incident was handled by Patrolman James Guarino.

Theft/Fraud

On Saturday, November 23, 2019 at approximately 3:13 p.m., patrols responded to a department store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Fraud/Theft. The victim, a 67-year-old female and resident of Monroe, NJ, advised that her wallet was stolen and that it contained multiple credit cards that were later used to make several purchases at two different retail stores. The incident was handled by Patrolman Matthew Meyler and Patrolman James Guarino.

Fraud
On Saturday, November 23, 2019, at approximately 3:05 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Meadow Green Circle in reference to a report of fraud. The victim, an 84-year-old resident of Manalapan, NJ reported that on November 22, 2019, she received a telephone call from a person stating that they were a representative of a sweepstakes affiliate. The person further gave the victim instructions to follow to receive several prizes. The victim was able to determine that this was actually a sweepstakes scam prior to any losses. This incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis

Fraud
On Friday, November 22, 2019, at 12:15 p.m., the victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an online shopping account was duplicated by a Kuwaiti website and that an old social media account of theirs was being used by unknown actor(s). The victim also reported that their password was changed on a credit card account. The incident was handled by Patrolman James Joiner.

Identity Theft
On Thursday, November 21, 2019 at approximately 4:38 p.m., the victim, a 29-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Identity Theft. The victim advised that a telephone and a credit card account were opened utilizing their personal information in another state. The accounts were subsequently closed following the fraudulent activity. Patrolman James Guarino and Patrolman Matthew Meyler, handled the report.

Assault/Robbery
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Inwood Drive in Manalapan, NJ. The victim, a 19-year-old male, Manalapan, NJ resident reported that he was assaulted and robbed by two individuals on Justin Way, Manalapan, NJ. The victim further advised that his cell phone and wallet were taken by the individuals during the incident. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report and it is currently under investigation.

Fraud

On Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 1:11 p.m., the victim, a 50-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan police headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown suspect attempted to cash a check from his checking account. The transaction was subsequently flagged by the bank and the account was frozen. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the incident.

Theft
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, at approximately 12:55 p.m., the victim, a 60-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of theft. The victim advised that a bottle of prescription medication containing approximately 40-45 pills was removed from their residence. The incident was handled by Patrolman Jeff Emslie.

Criminal Mischief
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at approximately 7:05 p.m., the victim, a 53-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported an incident of criminal mischief. The victim advised that his 1995 Chevrolet Corvette was damaged by the owner of a Manalapan business after a verbal dispute at the business earlier in the evening. The victim reported that the business owner struck his vehicle twice with a large rock as the victim was attempting to exit from the driveway of the shop. This report was handled by Patrolman Dennis O’Brien.

Warrant arrest
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at approximately 2:29 p.m., a 45-year-old, male, self-employed and resident of Manalapan, NJ, turned himself in at Manalapan Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at approximately 11:59 a.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9, in reference to a report of a theft. It was determined that the theft actually occurred on Saturday, November 9, 2019 and was captured on video security footage. The suspect, a heavyset white male, wearing a blue sweatshirt and a black outer vest, had walked into the store and had taken a product valued at less then $300. The suspect then proceeded to leave the store, without paying and left in a vehicle in an unknown destination. Patrolman Oleksy handled the initial report and an investigation is currently underway.

Criminal Mischief
On Thursday, November 14, 2019, at approximately 12:54 a.m., patrols responded to a residence on Devon Drive in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim, a 35-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on November 10, 2019 during the overnight hours an unknown actor(s), spraypainted profanity on the sidewalk near the residence. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the investigation.

Warrant Arrest

On Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 1:16 p.m., a 33-year-old male, married, self-employed and resident of Audubon, NJ, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. He was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jean Letts was the arresting officer.

Fraud

On Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 5:08 p.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Conover Lane in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 62-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, advised that an unknown actor(s) utilized his credit card information to make purchases totaling less then $200 at various online stores. These items were subsequently delivered to a hotel located in East Windsor, NJ. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the initial report.

Fraud

On November 15, 2019 at approximately 8:45 a.m., the victim, a 60-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that his checking account was compromised by an unknown actor by making several fraudulent transactions. The report was taken by Ptl. Letts

Hit-and-Run Motor Vehicle Crash
On Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:06 a.m., patrols responded to a medical care facility located on Craig Road, for a report of a Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Crash. The victim, a 57-year-old Berkeley, NJ resident reported that their vehicle was struck while they were inside of the vehicle. The suspect vehicle was described as a white-colored, four door sedan with a partial NJ registration ending in “PCV." The incident occurred in the parking lot of a shopping center located on State Highway 9, Manalapan, NJ. The victim also advised that they suffered minor back, neck and arm pain as a result of the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manalapan Police Department at 732-446-4300. DWI
On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Patrolman Ryan Brady conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 26-year-old female, married, employed as a nursing home administrator and resident of Matawan, NJ was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after she was given a future court date.

Theft
On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at approximately 8:58 a.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Theft. An employee of the business reported that on November 15, 2019 between 11:30 am and 3:00 pm an unknown actor removed a gift basket containing pastries from inside the business. The incident was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.

Criminal Mischief
On Saturday, November 16, 2019, at approximately 9:07 a.m., patrols responded to a residence located on St. Andrews Place in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim, a 40-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime during the overnight hours of November 15, 2019, his vehicle had been scratched by an unknown object on the front bumper and hood area causing minor damage. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the report.

Assault/Criminal Mischief
On Saturday, November 16, 2019, at approximately 3:09 p.m., patrols responded to a home located on Smithburg Road in Manalapan, NJ for a report of an assault. The investigation revealed that a juvenile male assaulted an adult. The juvenile also caused damage to a rear glass door in the home. This incident was handled by Ptl. Jason Vigneault.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at approximately 11:00 a.m., the Red Bank Police Department transported a 42-year-old female, married, unemployed and resident of Nanuet, New York, to the Manalapan Township Police Department. She had a warrant issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. She was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a future court appearance. Ptl. Defilippis handled the incident. Unknown what warrant was for.

Burglary to a Motor Vehicle
On Sunday, November 17, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m., patrols responded to Bell Terre Drive for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. The victim, a 23-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident reported that sometime on November 17, 2019, between the hours of 3:00am and 10:30am, unknown actor(s) entered the victim’s vehicle and removed personal property. Victim reported the vehicle was locked, there was no sign of forced entry to the vehicle and no damage was reported. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the incident which remains under investigation.

Criminal Mischief
On Sunday, November 17, 2019, at approximately 1:45 p.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Wydham Lane in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim, a 37-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that sometime between the hours of 4:40 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on November 16, 2019, unknown actor(s) struck their mailbox with a vehicle causing significant damage. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.

Assault
On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at approximately 4:45pm, patrols responded to a facility located on State Highway 33 for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that a 38-year-old male resident was assaulted by a 52-year-old male resident. Both parties declined to proceed with criminal complaints and patrols left without further incident. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the investigation.

Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at approximately 11:04 p.m., patrols responded to the Edison Police Department and took custody of a 23-year-old male, single, unemployed, of Rahway, NJ. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.

Fraud

On Monday, November 18, 2019 at approximately 4:40 p.m., the victim, a 41-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that their personal bank account had been compromised during three separate online transactions utilizing debit card information. Patrolman James Guarino and Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the report.

Shoplifting

On Monday, November 18, 2019 at approximately 4:46 p.m. patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of theft. After a two-week investigation it was revealed Zachary Bellinger Jr., a 33-year-old, single East Windsor, NJ resident, employed as a salesperson, had shoplifted more than $500 worth of merchandise over the course of approximately two weeks. A representative of the business responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters to sign complaints against Mr. Bellinger, Jr. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the investigation.

Fraudulent Checks

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, and owner of a business responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that on September 21, 2019, a customer purchased a vehicle using checks with insufficient funds. This incident is still under investigation. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the investigation.

Possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at approximately 8:44 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 522 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Vanessa Mejia-Sabillon, a 20-year-old female, unmarried, employed as a cashier and resident of Jamesburg, NJ was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Mejia-Sabillon was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.
