Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, December 10 at 4:12 p.m., patrols responded to the Middlesex County Jail and took custody of a 24-year-old male, unmarried, unemployed and resident Woodbridge. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,009. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer. Unknown what warrant was for.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, December 9 at 10:52 p.m., patrols responded to the Keyport Police Department and took custody of a 41-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Highlands borough. He had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the arresting officer. Unknown what warrant was for.

Vehicle Theft
On Monday, December 9 at 4:12 p.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Ryan Road in reference to a report of theft. The victim, a 50-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that she sold a vehicle to a subject who subsequently wished to return the vehicle in exchange for another vehicle but failed to comply with the preset arrangements. On Sunday, December 8 at approximately 4:54 p.m., the victim, a 70-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that an unknown actor took several of her prescription medications. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

Fraud

On Sunday, December 8, at approximately 10:00 a.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Manor Court in reference to a report of fraud. The victim, a 39-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident advised that on December 6 an unknown actor(s) used the victim’s checking account to pay off an outstanding credit card balance and utilized the credit card to make several fraudulent purchases. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report.

Residential Burglary/Theft
On Saturday, December 7 at approximately 8:15 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Saxon Court in reference to a report of a residential burglary. The victim, a 41-year-old, Marlboro, NJ resident advised that sometime between August and December 6, 2019, several items went missing from her residence. Patrolman Charles Mazzatto handled the report.

Theft
On Saturday, December 7 at approximately 7:00 p.m., patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 9 in Manalapan in reference to a report of theft. An employee of the business advised that a subject removed various items from the business without paying. The subject was later identified as a 38-year-old female resident of Brooklyn, NY. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Saturday, December 7 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a 44-year-old female, married, employed as a vet tech and resident of Manalapan, NJ, turned herself in at Manalapan Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Neptune Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500. She was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman James Guarino handled the arrest. Unknown what warrant was for.

Fraud
On Friday, December 6 at approximately 11:17 a.m., patrols responded to a department store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of fraud. The victim, a 70-year-old Marlboro, NJ resident advised that she sent department store gift cards to an unknown subject pretending to be a U.S. Marshall investigating the fraudulent use of her social security number. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.

Fraud / Theft
On Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 11:33 a.m., the victim, a 66-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that he sent cash to an unknown subject who was contracted to do computer work, the subject never completed service to his personal computer. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.

Fraud/Theft by Deception
On Wednesday, December 4 at 10:33 a.m., patrols responded to a bank located on State Highway 9 for a report of a fraudulent transaction. Bank staff advised that on December 3, 2019 at approximately 1:00 p.m., a subject made a cash transaction which resulted in defrauding the bank of $160. The subject was described as an Indian male, in his mid to late sixties, bald and wearing glasses. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the initial report.

DWI
On Tuesday, December 3 at approximately 6:34 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike conducted a motor vehicle stop on Woodward Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a 65-year-old male, married, employed as an engineer and resident of Manalapan NJ, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with several summonses. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

DWI, Resisting Arrest
On Monday, December 2 at approximately 10:32 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Sweetmans Lane and Kinney Road for a single car motor vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that the driver, a 23- year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Rahway, NJ, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He resisted patrols while being placed under arrest and was subsequently transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters without further incident. He was processed, served with several summonses and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he was lodged pending his court appearance. Patrolman Peter Bylsma was the arresting officer.

Shoplifting
On Monday, December 2 at 2:59 p.m., patrols responded to a store located on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of theft. An employee of the business advised that a white male, approximately 6’1’’ with a thin build, wearing a camouflage hat, tight jeans and a red hooded sweatshirt removed a guitar from the wall and ran out of the store with it. The subject fled the area in a black Acura travelling north on State Highway 9. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the initial report.

Fraud

On Monday, December 2 at approximately 2:52 p.m., the victim, a 66-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown subject(s) made fraudulent transactions using a credit card that had been opened in the victim’s name. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday December 2 at approximately 2:40 p.m., a 59-year-old female, divorced, unemployed, resident of Columbus, NJ turned herself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for her arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000. She was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the arresting officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, December 2 at approximately 12:30 p.m., patrols responded to the Mercer County Correctional Institution and took custody of a 27-year-old male, single, employed as an iron worker, and resident of Ewing. He had a warrant issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500. He was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Sunday, December 1 at approximately 11:00 a.m., patrols responded to a residence located on Vicksburg Place in reference to a report of theft. The victim, a 55-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident, advised that on November 30 a package was delivered to her residence but she never received it. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.

Driving While Intoxicated (DWI)
On Sunday, December 1 at approximately 12:56 a.m., patrols responded to the area of Tennent Road and Kelton Place for a single car motor vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that the driver, a 46-year-old male, married, employed, and resident of Manalapan, NJ was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with several summonses. Patrolman Jared Coupland handled the arrest.

Fraud/Identity Theft
On December 2 at approximately 10:41 a.m., the victim, a 20-year-old, Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an immediate family member utilized his social security number and other personal information to make unauthorized purchases. Patrolman Christopher Oleksy handled the report.

Hit and Run Collision
On Saturday, November 30 at approximately 11:30 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on Atrium Way in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle crash. The victim, a 28-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident advised that his vehicle was parked on Atrium Way and was struck by another vehicle. Further investigation revealed that sometime after 4:30 p.m. an unknown motor vehicle collided into the victim’s vehicle causing significant damage. Patrolman Kyle Williams handled this incident.

Fraud
On Saturday, November 30, at approximately 8:33 p.m., the victim, a 46-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an unknown subject made fraudulent transactions with the victim’s credit card. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the incident.

Fraud/Extortion
On Saturday, November 30 at approximately 7:11 p.m., the victim, a 26-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud/Extortion. The victim advised that an unknown subject is in possession of personal videos and pictures of the victim from an online dating application, and is threatening to post the videos and pictures on the internet unless there is an exchange for money. The incident was handled by Patrolman James Guarino.

Fraud

On Friday, November 29 at approximately 12:00 p.m., the victim, a 25-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that an unknown subject opened two fraudulent credit cards in the victim’s name and made fraudulent charges on the credit cards. Patrolman Jared Coupland handled the report.

Fraud
On Friday, November 28 at 10:50 a.m., the victim, a 57-year-old Manalapan, NJ resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of fraud. The victim advised that on November 27, 2019, an unknown actor(s) cancelled his cellular phone service with his current carrier and opened a new account with another cellular phone carrier later that day using his personal information. The report was handled by Patrolman Charles Alaimo.

Commercial Burglary
On Thursday, November 28 at approximately 3:20 a.m., patrols responded to a food vending store on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of a burglary. An employee, a 42-year-old, Freehold Boro resident advised he observed an unknown subject enter the store by smashing the front glass door. Once inside, the subject broke into two cash registers and removed an unknown amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot towards State Highway 9. The subject was described as a black male, wearing a ski mask with a light colored tie-dyed shirt over a black hoodie, gloves, black pants and sneakers. Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the report. Manalapan Detectives responded and this incident remains under investigation.

Simple Assault
On Wednesday, November 27 at approximately 11:55 p.m., patrols responded to a restaurant establishment located on Gordon’s Corner Road, Manalapan in reference to a report of an assault. The victim, a 25-year-old Farmingdale, NJ resident advised she was struck in the head by an unknown male subject. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the report.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, November 27 at approximately 1:20 p.m., patrols responded to the New Jersey State Police Hamilton barracks and took custody of a 57-year-old, male, employed as a cleaner and resident of Hamilton, NJ. He had a warrant issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. He was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Reginald Grant was the arresting officer.
