Simple Assault
On Sunday, December 3, 2017 at approximately 4:29 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Wickatunk Road and Heather Drive for a report of a motor vehicle accident. The victim, a 17 year-old Howell resident, alleges that she was assaulted by the accused, a 73-year-old Tenafly resident, after the motor vehicle
accident. This case is pending investigation and Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Theft of Vehicle
On Sunday December 2, 2017, at approximately 9:15 am, Officer Dessel responded to a Gristmill Drive address for a reported stolen vehicle. Victim’s 2014 white Kia Optima was taken from the victim’s driveway between 7:00 pm December 2, 2017 and 9:15 am December 3, 2017. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside. This incident is pending further investigation.

DWI
On Friday November 1, 2017, at approximately 10:55 pm, Patrolman Matthew Meyler responded to the area of Caitlin Way for a report of an unresponsive female behind the wheel of a parked, running vehicle. Dora K. Jeran, a 24-year- old, unmarried, female, resident of Metuchen, who is employed as chemist, was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Ms. Jeran was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued summonses.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, December 1, 2017, at approximately 4:45 pm, Edward Schuh, a 20-year-old, male, resident of Freehold, NJ, who is employed as a farm hand, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a $1000 warrant that was issued by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Mr. Schuh was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the arrest.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, December 1, 2017, at approximately 12:31 pm, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to the parking lot of the Home Goods, located at 55 Rt. 9 in Manalapan for a report of a parking violation. Nicole Arcate, a 38-year-old, married, resident of Freehold Borough, who is self-employed, was found to have
a $114 warrant issued for by the Freehold Township Municipal Court. Mrs. Arcate was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis made the arrest.
Simple Assault
On Friday, December 1, 2017, at approximately 9:54 am, a 44-year-old resident of North Bergen and a 55-year-old resident of Old Bridge each reported that they were assaulted by the other on November 30, 2017 while at the Eden Nail Salon, located on Route 9 in Manalapan. No injuries were reported as a result of this
incident, which is pending civilian complaints. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, November 30, 2017, at approximately 3:15 pm, Lieutenant Kevin Dobbin conducted a motor vehicle stop on U.S Highway 9 South in Manalapan. The driver of the vehicle, Samiyah Anderson-Neal, a 27-year-old, married, resident of Freehold Borough, who employed as a Manager, was found to have two warrants issued for her arrest by the Freehold Borough Municipal Court totaling $750.00. Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to the scene and placed Mrs. Anderson-Neal under arrest. Mrs. Anderson-Neal was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 10:53 am, Daniel Caraballo, a 31-year-old unmarried, unemployed, resident of Freehold, was arrested by the Aberdeen Police Department regarding warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court totaling $3,000.00 and the Marlboro
Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Caraballo was transported from Aberdeen Police Department to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.
Shoplifting
On Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at approximately 9:45 pm, loss prevention employees from the Target store, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan, reported a shoplifting incident. Paige Venetz, a 24-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Old Bridge, who is employed as a cosmetic technician, reportedly attempted to
shoplift $869.63 worth of merchandise from the store over the course of two months. Ms .Ventz was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued a summons. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at approximately 3:17 pm, Roberto Albarran, a 20-year-old, male, resident of Freehold NJ, who is employed as a coffee maker, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $240.00. Mr. Albarran was processed then released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.
Burglary / Theft
On Monday, November 27, 2017, at 2:45 pm, a 70-year-old resident of Brooklyn, NY reported that between November 22, 2017 and November 27, 2017, unknown actor (s) forced entry to an unoccupied Wiltshire Drive residence and removed a washer and dryer valued at approximately $1,200.00. Patrolman Ross Dessel took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Theft of Property / Fraud
On Monday, November 27, 2017 at 3:59 PM, a 31-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters to report stolen property and fraudulent use of the victim’s credit card. The victim reported that on November 6, 2017, the victim lost his wallet at an unknown location. The victim reported that later in the day, unknown actor(s) utilized the victim’s debit card and charged $406.00. Ptl. Bylsma took the report which remains under investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:56 am, Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 south after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Natalie Mensah, a 38-year-old, single, unemployed, Old Bridge, NJ resident, was found to have an active traffic warrant issued for her arrest for $380.00 out of the Elizabeth Township Municipal Court. Mensah was transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department, where she was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano handled the arrest.
