Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, October 21 at 9:33 p.m., Manalapan Township patrol officers responded to a residence on Forest Drive for a dispute. During the investigation, Nicole Cecora, a 30-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, Manalapan resident, was found to have an active traffic warrant issued for her arrest for $145 out of the
South Brunswick Municipal Court. Cecora was subsequently arrested and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and released after posting the full bail amount. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.
Theft of Property
On Sunday, October 21 at 8:42 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody responded to a residence on Sandpiper drive for a report of a property theft. The victim, a 45-year-old Manalapan resident, reported that unknown actor(s) stole a package valued at $20.45 from his mailbox between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township police Department. Warrant Arrest
On Friday, October 19, 2018, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Patrolman Jason Vigneault conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Route 9, in the area of Franklin Lane. Dorsie Samuel, Jr., a 27-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Parlin, who is employed as a warehouse manager, was found to have three warrants issued for his arrest by the Millburn Township Municipal Court in the amount of $7,589.00. Mr. Samuel was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bond. Patrolman Jason Vigneault was the arresting officer.
Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at approximately 5:48 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 West in Manalapan for a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Matthew Hoban Jr., a 29-year-old, married, male, resident of Manalapan, NJ, who is employed as a construction worker, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Hoban was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
Theft of a Motor Vehicle
On Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10:41 a.m., a 30-year-old Manalapan resident reported that unknown actor(s) removed a 2017 Lexus LX from the driveway of a Thompson Grove Road residence at approximately 2:00 am. The vehicle, valued at $100,000.00, was left unlocked with the key fob inside. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report, which is pending further investigation.
Attempted Burglary of Motor Vehicle
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 6:04 p.m., a 45-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor entered an unlocked vehicle at 12:15 am while it was parked on Hidden Pond Court in Manalapan. There were no items reported missing from this vehicle and a suspect was not located. Patrolman Jeffrey Mattson took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Attempted Shoplifting
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 4:05 p.m., Patrolman John Lightbody responded to Best Buy, located at 15 Route 9 South in Manalapan, for a report of an attempted shoplifting. Two white male subjects are reported to have entered the Best Buy and one suspect attempted to exit the store with an HP Envy computer, valued at $1,729.99, while the other suspect attempted to distract loss prevention. Employees were able to stop the subject prior to him leaving the store and both subjects fled the area on foot towards Craig Road. Both suspects are described as white males approximately 45- 50 years old. Burglary/Criminal Mischief/Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Patrolman Jason Vigneault, Patrolman Christopher Makwinski, Patrolman Douglas Zike, and Patrolman Kyle Williams responded to a Clinton Drive residence for a report of a residential burglary in progress. As a result of the investigation, Roberto Sales, a 28-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Old Bridge, who is employed as a laborer, was located and subsequently placed under arrest. Mr. Sales was also found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Irvington Township Municipal Court in the amount of $200.00. Mr. Sales was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Burglary and Criminal Mischief. He was subsequently turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski was the arresting officer.
Warrant Arrest
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 8:53am, Jacquelin Bertram, a 26-year-old, married, resident of Freehold Borough, employed as a teacher turned herself in on an active traffic warrant for her arrest for $1,000.00 from Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Subject posted bail in full, was processed, and released. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis was the arresting officer.
Theft of Property
On Monday, October 15, 2018 at 6:11 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody took a report for a theft of property. The victim, a 39-year-old, Cream Ridge resident, reported that her hunting area was damaged and a memory card was stolen from her deer camera. The memory card was valued at $15.00. If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.
Fraud
On Monday, October 15, 2018 at 4:36 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody responded to a residence in regards to a fraud report. The victim, a 41-year-old, Manalapan resident, reported that he was scammed out of $2,000.00 by way of a computer/telephone scam. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.
Stolen Vehicle
On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 7:16 a.m., a 54-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a 2016 Mercedes CLS was removed sometime during the overnight hours from the driveway of a Joseph Street residence. The key fob was left inside the vehicle when it was parked. The vehicle, valued at approximately $70,000.00, was subsequently located later that day in Elizabeth, NJ. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Terroristic Threats
On Monday, October 17, 2018, at 2:23 p.m., a 29-year-old resident of Toms River reported that he was threatened via telephone by an unknown male while at the Game Stop store, located at 55 Route 9 in Manalapan. Patrolman Anthony Cascella took the report, which is pending further investigation.
