Warrant Arrest

On Sunday, October 28, 2018, at approximately 10:18 am, Yelsin Moran, a 25-year-old, unmarried male, resident of Bladensburg, MD, who is employed as a construction worker, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation while on Wickatunk Road. He was arrested on a warrant that was issued for $1,000 out of Tinton Falls. He was unable to post bail and was turned over to the Tinton Falls Police Department. Patrolman Ross Dessel made the arrest.

Harassment
On Saturday, October 27, 2018 at approximately 8:15 pm, a 38-year-old, Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan police headquarters to report harassment. The victim related that her upstairs neighbors stomp and yell when she asks them to quiet down. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report.

Simple Assault
On Saturday, October 27, 2018, at approximately 1:45 a.m., a 57-year-old, Manalapan resident and a 63-year-old Manalapan resident each reported that they were assaulted by the other while at Marianne Manor, located at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan. No injuries were sustained as a result of this incident and neither party wished to sign criminal complaints. Patrolman Aaron Abeles was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Friday, October 26, 2018, at approximately 3:57 p.m., Blake Everett, a 25-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Jackson Township, who is employed as a video editor, responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to turn himself in regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Jackson Township Municipal Court in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Everett was processed, and released after posting bail. Patrolman Douglas Zike was the arresting officer.

Theft
On Friday, October 26, 2018, at 12:40 p.m., a 90-year-old Manalapan resident related that $180.00 in cash and prescription pills were stolen a Randall Drive residence. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud

On Friday, October 26, 2018, at 11:50 a.m., a 48-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that unknown actors hacked the victim’s email account in an attempt obtain funds. No monetary loss was reported at this time. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie took the report, which is pending further investigation.

Fraud
On Friday, October 26, 2018, at approximately 11:00 a.m., an 85-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to report that an unknown actor had attempted to obtain $4,000.00 in gift cards from the victim by advising the victim that a relative had been arrested. No monetary loss was reported as a result of this incident. Residents are reminded that this is an ongoing telephone scam and are cautioned to not respond to these types of calls. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the responding officer.

On Thursday, October 25, 2018, at approximately 9:08 a.m., a 68-year-old Manalapan resident reported that he was assaulted by a 49-year-old Manalapan resident while at the Marianne Manor, located at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan. Minor injuries were sustained as a result of this incident, however, neither party wished to sign criminal complaints. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli was the responding officer.

Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, October 25, 2018, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Patrolman Matthew Porricelli responded to Marianne Manor, locate at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan, for a report of a fight. During the course of the investigation, Perry Lawrence, a 49-year-old, unemployed, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the Lake Como Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Lawrence was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and subsequently turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli was the arresting officer.

Motor Vehicle Theft
On Tuesday, October 23, 2017 at approximately 10:50 pm, two unknown actors walked up the driveway of a Manalapan residence, entered the homeowner’s unlocked vehicle, a 2017 grey Mercedes Benz GLS valued at approximately $90,000, started the car with the key fob that had been left inside the vehicle and fled the area. Ptl. William Dutton conducted the initial investigation.

Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Monday, October 22, 2018 at 10:12 pm, Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 522, after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Alex Arbeitman, a 27-year-old, unmarried, Jackson resident, employed as a store associate, was found to be in possession of marijuana under 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. Arbeitman was transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department, where he was processed and released on a summons. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the arrest.

Fraud/Impersonation
On Monday, October 22, 2018 at approximately 7:30 pm, a 65-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters and reported a household resident was using a fraudulent name on a cable bill. No monetary loss was reported in this incident. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the
report.

Warrant Arrest
On Monday, October 22, 2018 at approximately 5:05 pm, Patrolman Christopher Makwinski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Iron Ore Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver Cory Lorentzen, a 25-year-old, single apprentice Keansburg resident was found to have an active traffic warrant issued for his arrest from Hazlet Township for $750.00. Cory was transported to the Manalapan Township Police Department where he was process and released on his own recognizance. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

Possession of Marijuana Under 50 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
On Monday, October 22, 2018, at approximately 9:46 a.m., Nikolas Bitsakakis, a 31-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of East Windsor, NJ, who is employed as a cook, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on US 33 in the area of Sweetman’s Lane. Mr. Bitsakakis was subsequently found to be in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, as well as, drug paraphernalia. Mr. Bitsakakis was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued summonses and a pending court appearance. Patrolman Bart Mattaliano was the arresting officer.
