MANALAPAN, NJ — Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, here are all the arrests and incidents in the Township from Oct. 23 through Oct. 29, 2017:
Theft
On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 11:45 a.m., a 42-year-old Staten Island resident reported that three video gaming systems valued at $475.00 were not returned to him as promised on October 29, 2017 at the Englishtown Auction. This incident is pending the signing of complaints in Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Morgan Joiner handled the report.
Theft of Motor Vehicle
On Sunday, October 29, 2017 at approximately 10:31 a.m., a 22-year-old resident of Seaside Park reported her orange, 2017 Ford Escape valued at $27,500.00 was stolen from a residential driveway on Timber Lane. This occurred on October 29, 2017 sometime between 9:30 am and 10:15 am. The vehicle was left unlocked and the key fob inside the vehicle. This incident is currently under investigation and was handled by Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis.

Shoplifting
On Friday, October 27, 2017, at approximately 4:18 p.m., loss-prevention employees of the Marshall’s store, located at 55 Rt. 9 South in Manalapan, reported that Miranda Caputo, a 22-year-old, unmarried, unemployed, female, resident of Millstone, NJ had shoplifted $27.98 worth of merchandise from the store. Ms. Caputo was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being issued a summons. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the arrest.
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, October 27, 2017, Taqi Khan, a 22-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a pharmacy technician, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding warrants that were issued for his arrest by the East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of
$89.00, and the Springfield Municipal Court in the amount of $89.00. Mr. Kahn was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.

Vandalism/Criminal Mischief
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 6:23 p.m., a 24-year-old Marlboro resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that between 2:30 pm and 11:59 pm on October 25, 2017, unknown actors vandalized the victim’s vehicle by scratching it. The cost of the damage is unknown at this time. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.
Burglary to a Motor Vehicle/Theft
On Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 5:49 pm, a 53-year old and 21-year-old Manalapan resident, and a 20-year-old, East Brunswick resident reported that over the course of approximately two months, unknown actor(s) have stolen approximately $1,348.00 worth of belongings from unlocked motor vehicles parked in the driveway of a Precedent Place residence. Patrolman Aaron Abeles took the report, which is pending further investigation.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North in Manalapan. Edward Romero, a 28-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Parlin, NJ, who is employed as a mechanic, was found to have warrants issued for his arrest by the Madison Joint Municipal Court in the amounts of $400.00 and $500.00, the Jefferson Township Municipal Court in the amount of $2,500.00, and the Hillside Municipal Court in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Romero was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Jefferson Township Police Department.
Theft
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a 41-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor removed belongings from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of a Fountayne Lane Residence between 10:30 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 and 7:30 am on
Thursday, October 26, 2017. The value of the stolen items is yet to be determined. Patrolman William Dutton took the report.
Fraud
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at 8:57 a.m., a 63-year-old Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor gained access to the victim’s cell phone, email, home phone and credit card and made $14,000.00 worth of unauthorized charges on the credit card between October 23, 2017 and October 25, 2017. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road in Manalapan. Robin Dean, a 55-year-old, unmarried, female, resident of Neptune, NJ, who is employed as a biller, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Aberdeen Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Dean was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the Walgreens Pharmacy located at 305 Route 33 in Manalapan. Mary Scotto, a 30-year-old, unemployed, married, female, resident of Barnegat, NJ, was found to have a warrant issued for her arrest by the Stafford Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Scotto was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and turned over to the Stafford Township Police Department in lieu of bail.
Harassment
On Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at 2:54 pm, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to Hickory Court for a neighbor dispute. A 55-year-old resident of Manalapan and 45-year-old resident of Manalapan were involved in a verbal dispute. Both subjects report that threatening comments were made by one another. Neither subject wanted to pursue complaints with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.
Theft
On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 2:00 pm, a 19-year-old Manalapan resident reported that a video gaming system valued at $395.00 was stolen sometime between November 2016 and October 2017. This incident is pending the signing of complaints in Manalapan Township Municipal Court. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis took the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, October 23, 2017, at 11:03 am, Eliazar Mendez, a 24-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Freehold, NJ, who is employed as a landscaper, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal
Court in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Mendez was processed and released with no bail posted, pending a future court date. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the arrest.
