On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at approximately 7:41pm, Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Mauro Cruz, a 53-year-old male, single, self-employed and resident of Princeton NJ, had four warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Passaic City Municipal Court in the amount of $1937.00. Mr. Cruz was arrested and transported to the Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.
On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at approximately 3:58pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Ivanhoe Drive in reference to a report of Theft. The victim, a 58-year-old Manalapan resident, advised that an unknown actor(s) utilized his personal information to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at approximately 12:45am, patrols were in the area of Thompson Grove Park located on Thompson Grove Road and found that the lock to the entrance gate was cut. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.
On Monday, October 12, 2020, at approximately 8:15pm, the victim, a 34-year- old Manalapan resident advised that her online shopping account was accessed

by an unknown subject who subsequently purchased items using her account name and address but paid for the purchased items himself. There was no monetary loss to the victim and this type of activity is a common scam utilized according to this online company. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the initial report.
On Monday, October 12, 2020, at approximately 1:59pm, patrols responded to a business located on Pension Road in reference to a report of a Fraud. The business owner reported that he conducted a transaction with another company that provided him fraudulent credit information for the purchase of his product. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at approximately 2:42pm, patrols responded to a business on State Highway 9 in reference to a report of Harassment. The victim, a 29-year-old resident of Manalapan advised that an unknown actor approached him and made sexually explicit comments towards him. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
On Saturday, October 10, 2020, at approximately 10:27am, Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on County Route 522 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that a passenger, Eddie Garcia, a 33-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Hamilton, NJ, was found to be in Possession of Under 50 grams of Marijuana. Mr. Garcia was arrested and transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with several summonses. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.
On Friday, October 9, 2020, at approximately 3:40pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Amberly Drive in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 64-year-old Manalapan resident advised that he was solicited by phone and subsequently provided his personal information which led to his bank account being fraudulently compromised. Patrolman Slad handled the report.
On Friday, October 9, 2020, at approximately 2:30pm, the victim, a 31-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) attempted to utilize her personal information to file for unemployment benefits. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the report.
On Friday, October 9, 2020, at approximately 10:21am, the victim, a 68-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) removed a political campaign sign from her front lawn. Patrolman Jean Letts handled the report.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at approximately 10:30am, patrols responded to a residence located on Maremanna Drive in reference to a report of Theft. The victim, a 61-year-old Manalapan resident advised that an unknown actor(s) removed a high end watch from his residence. Patrolman Jean Letts handled the report.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at approximately 8:24pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Thompson Grove Road in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 56-year-old Manalapan resident, advised that an unknown actor(s) unlawfully obtained access to one of her bank checks and made a fraudulent withdrawal. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the initial report.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020, at approximately 7:40pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Meadow Green Circle in reference to a report of Harassment. The victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan resident advised that he has received numerous phone calls from an unknown subject via a social media outlet. Patrolman John Lightbody handled the report.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020 at approximately 5:19pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Fairfield Court in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 56-year-old Manalapan resident, advised that an unknown actor(s) unlawfully obtained access to one of his bank checks and made a fraudulent withdrawal.

On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at approximately 7:14pm, Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on Daum Road for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Benjamin French, a 24-year-old male, single, employed as a landscaper and resident of Wayne, NJ, was found to have two warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Wayne Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000.00. Mr. French was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.
