MANALAPAN, NJ – Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all reported crimes and arrests from Sept.30-Oct. 6:
On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at approximately 3:08am, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on Crystal Court for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger, Jahsir Velez, a 19-year-old male, single, unemployed resident of East Orange, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the South Orange Municipal Court. Mr. Velez was arrested and
transported to Freehold Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to their agency pending additional charges. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
On Monday October 5, 2020, at approximately 4:00pm, Steffon White, 27-year- old male, single, employed as a warehouse worker and resident of Freehold, NJ, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court Mr. White was processed and then transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Kyle Earley was the arresting officer.

On October 5, 2020, at approximately 3:25pm, the victim, a 62-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Theft. The victim advised that in March of 2020, an unknown actor(s) used his credit card to make several unauthorized purchases. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.
On Monday, October 5, 2020, at approximately 6:30pm, the victim, a 39-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that in September 2020, he purchased a cell phone on-line but he never received it. Patrolman Charles Alaimo handled the report.

On Sunday, October 5, 2020, at approximately 6:31am, patrols responded to Old Cider Mill Road in reference to a report of Criminal Attempt. Further investigation revealed that an unknown actor(s) attempted to enter the victim’s locked vehicle but was unsuccessful. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report.
On October 4, 2020, at approximately 9:09am, patrols responded to a business located on State Highway 33 in reference to a report of a Municipal Code Violation. A representative of the business advised that an unknown actor(s) unlawfully unloaded construction debris and left it on the property. Patrolman James Guarino handled the report.
On Saturday, October 3, 2020, at approximately 11:40pm, Patrolman Ryan Brady conducted a motor vehicle stop on Gordons Corner Road for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Bruno Deoliveira, a 39-year-old male, married, employed as a flight attendant and resident of Jersey City, NJ was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Deoliveira was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Ryan Brady was the arresting officer.
On Saturday, October 3, 2020, at approximately 10:06am, the victim, a 55-year-
old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters for a report of Fraud. The victim advised that in February 2020, he purchased a high end watch from a subject on line. The watch was subsequently found to be counterfeit and has not received a refund from the seller. This case is currently under investigation. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.
On Friday, October 2, 2020, at approximately 12:19am, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Trevor Soto, a 22-year-old male, single, unemployed resident of Howell, NJ, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Mr. Zoto was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
On Friday, October 2, 2020, at approximately 2:25pm, patrols responded to a business located on Main Street in reference to a report of Theft. A representative from the business advised that in September 2020, a recently terminated ex-employee has yet to return a company laptop, cell phone and a set of keys. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.
On Thursday, October 1, 2020, at approximately 8:52pm, Patrolman Jeremy Slad conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Shaun Williams, a 26-year-old male, single, self-employed and resident of Philadelphia, PA was found to be in possession of a handgun. Mr. Williams was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Patrolman Jeremy Slad was the arresting officer.
On Thursday, October 1, 2020 at approximately 1:12pm, Patrolman Ross Dessel conducted a motor vehicle stop on High Bridge Road for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, David Seara, a 34-year-old male, married, employed as a Industrial Painter and resident of Woodbridge, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Howell Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00 and a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the and Clark Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Seara was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.
On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at approximately 4:50pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Sandpiper Drive in reference to a report of Theft. The victim, a 70-year-old Manalapan resident advised that an unknown actor(s) removed items from his porch. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Jeremy Slad handled the report.
On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at approximately 12:22am, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The passenger, Jose Ochoa-Ruiz, a 22-year-old male, single, employed as a cable technician and resident of Lakewood, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Lakewood Municipal Court in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Ochoa-Ruiz was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.
