Manalapan Police Blotter, Sept. 4 - Sept. 10
Neighbors called the police for a man acting suspiciously on Oak Knoll Drive last Thursday, Sept. 7. He ran from officers and was arrested.

MANALAPAN, NJ — Here are all the arrests and police incidents in Manalapan Township from Monday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept 10:
Warrant Arrest
On Friday, September 8, 2017, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Anthony Sofo, a 24-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Old Bridge, who is employed in sales, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal
Court in the amount of $500.00. Mr. Sofo was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel made the arrest.
Harassment
On Friday, September 8, 2017, at approximately 9:23 a.m., a 59-year-old male resident of Freehold Township responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported that he was the victim of harassment by a co-worker on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. The victim did not wish to pursue complaints at this time. Patrolman Ross Dessel took the report.

Obstructing the Administration of the Law
On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at approximately 12:26 p.m., patrols responded to Oak Knoll Drive for a report of a suspicious person around a private residence. The individual was reported to be on Pension Road and was located near Dortmunder Drive by the responding patrol officers. Upon police approaching the
male, he disregarded the officer’s directions and fled the area on foot. Berron West, a 48-year-old, divorced, male, resident of Freehold Township, who is employed as a dishwasher, was apprehended and placed under arrest for obstructing the administration of the law. Mr. West was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed, and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending an initial appearance. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis made the arrest.
Harassment
On Thursday, September 7, 2017, at approximately 9:02 a.m., a 76-year-old resident of Manalapan reported incidents of ongoing harassment by a neighbor. The reporting party did not wish to pursue complaints at this time. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.

Harassment
On Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at approximately 9:37 a.m., a 48-year-old resident of Manalapan reported incidents of ongoing harassment by a neighbor. The reporting party did not wish to pursue complaints at this time. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.
Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Johnny Grullon-Mateo, a 32-year-old, married, male, resident of Matawan, who is employed as a delivery driver, turned himself in at Manalapan Township Police Headquarters regarding a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $228. Mr. Grullon-Mateo was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis made the arrest.
Theft
On Monday, September 4, 2017, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a 56-year-old Manalapan business employee reported that an unknown male had stolen gasoline in the amount of $28 from a Rt. 33 business. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Douglas Zike handled the report.
Harassment
On Monday, September 4, 2017 at approximately 1:33 p.m., a 45-year-old Manalapan resident and a 62-year-old Manalapan resident reported incidents of on-going harassment between each other on Stratford Drive. Both parties report that the other party is harassing them by calling each other unwanted names, and recording each other. Both parties were advised on how to pursue complaints. This incident was handled by Patrolman Peter Bylsma.
Warrant Arrest
On Monday, September 4, 2017 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Patrolman Bryan Belardo conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road. The driver, Jordan Fernandes, a 24-year-old, unmarried, male, resident of Manalapan, who is employed as a community policing assistant, was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest by the North Haledon Municipal Court in the amount of $100. Mr. Fernandes was placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released.
