Marlboro Woman Hit By Car In Manalapan
A 62-year-old Marlboro woman was hit by a car last Tuesday on Rt. 9 at Taylors Mills Road in Manalapan Township.

MANALAPAN, NJ — A 62-year-old Marlboro woman was hit by a car last Tuesday on Rt. 9 in Manalapan Township, police there said.
The accident happened at approximately 10:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the intersection of Rt. 9 North and Taylors Mills Road. The driver, a 71-year-old Manalapan resident, struck a pedestrian, a 62-year-old Marlboro resident, who was attempting to cross Route 9.
The woman did not have the light to cross, as the north and southbound traffic had the green signal at the time, said Capt. Thomas Barstow of the Manalapan police department.

"The intersection is controlled by a traffic light and with regard to street lighting, it is pretty well lit," he said.
The Marlboro resident was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center and she was later listed as being in stable condition. The Marlboro woman was not identified by police.
