Miguel Correia, a firefighter with the Englishtown Fire Department, passed away Wednesday at the age of 36.Correia was an active member of the all-volunteer fire department since 2009, and remained "a monumental presence," even after he was diagnosed with cancer, wrote Englishtown Fire Chief Louis Sarti, Jr. in a letter to all firefighters.A public viewing for Correia will be Friday, Nov. 20 at Higgins Funeral Home in Freehold from 2 to 4 p.m., and then again from 7 to 9 p.m. A public firefighter's funeral will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Englishtown on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.Photos courtesy Englishtown Fire Department.
