In this time of political discord, many of us living in Monmouth County have the potential to be represented in Congress by a highly qualified, service-focused, compassionate leader, Andy Kim. Last winter, the towns of Marlboro, Manalapan, Holmdel, Freehold, Millstone and Roosevelt had the good fortune to be redistricted to New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District, where Andy Kim is the sitting Congressman. For folks unfamiliar with Kim, he grew up in the New Jersey district he now serves, was educated in our public schools and is raising his two young boys in our District. You may remember him from the photos showing him helping clean up the Capitol Rotunda after the January 6th insurrection. He was also a main sponsor of the ”Burn Pit” legislation, championed by Jon Stewart, to expand medical services for suffering veterans. Andy Kim is a moderate Democrat whose priorities include preventing gun violence and crime, protecting our planet for our children, keeping healthcare affordable, restoring reproductive rights and defending our democracy. From small businesses, to seniors, the people in his district have benefitted from his leadership and constituent services. The Congressman holds a public town hall meeting in his district every month! I’m voting for Andy Kim because he is one of us. He cares about what we care about and will continue to work hard for us. Look for his name at the top of Column 2 on your ballot and vote in your best interest by voting for Andy Kim.
