looking for an attorney pro bono or contingent, for a Real Estate purchase ( Septic Issue)
My husband and I purchased a home in Manalapan NJ on September 2012 , we closed with a temp C of O, the only thing on there were a banister needed to be secured, a crack in the garage needed to be repaired and the dryer vent needed to be enlarged, so we close and call 2 weeks later to get a C of O and I was told there is a BIG PROBLEM with it, that we cannot get a C of O until we change the septic , we have a dry well and apparently they are illegal in Manalapan!!! why were we not told before we purchased? we would have never bought the house !!! now we had to pay 2500.00 to a Architect, we have received estimates between 25,000 to 35,000. 00 for a new septic, we went to everyone involved and no one wants to help ( Real Estate, Lawyer, Township, septic person) we have spoken to several attys that want 10,000-15,000 as a retainer just to start to fight for us!!!! there has to be someone out there to please direct me in the right direction, this is most definitely UNFAIR!!! please help!!
