Anna Shanahan, 83, of Manalapan, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. Born in Brooklyn, Shanahan has resided in Manalapan for the past 12 years.  She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she will be missed by all who knew her. Shanahan was predeceased by her brother, Stephen Block Jr.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Joanne Shanahan of Manalapan; three grandchildren, Melissa, Joanne and Lauren; and four great grandchildren, Nicholas, John, Madelynn and Daniel. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the , 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.   A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, March 23, at 10 a.m., at , Manalapan.  Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association, Bridgewater, NJ.
