Obituary: James H. Harris, 87

Harris is from Englishtown.

James H. Harris, 87, of Englishtown, N.J., died at Centra State Medical Center on Friday. Born to the late John Moses and Willie Myrtle Harris, James grew up Virgilina, Va. He served in the United States Army during World War II. James worked for Erikson's Diner, Bloomfield, and Greystone Psychiatric Hospital, Morris Plains, both in New Jersey.

A loving brother and uncle, James is survived by one brother, Johnie T. Harris of Virgilina, Va.; three sisters, Edith Louise Bell of Durham, N.C., Mattie Sue Holt of South Amboy, N.J. and Hattie Marie Green (Henry) of Temple Hills, Md.; one sister-in-law, Janet Harris of Piscataway, N.J., and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Service, 201 Sandford St., New Brunswick, N.J. The viewing begins at 9 a.m.
