Joan Therese McGill, 77, of Manalapan, died on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Care One in Holmdel. Born in the Bronx, NY, McGill had resided in Manalapan for the past 46 years. She was a communicant of Manalapan. Joan earned a BA degree in Spanish from Hunter College in New York. She also worked as a bilingual legal secretary at C.P. Stuber Company in Manhattan for several years before retiring. In addition, Joan volunteered at Regency Nursing Center in Hazlet for 30 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Frank; her two sons and daughter-in-law, Francis of Plantation, FL and Paul and Annette of Readington.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 25th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the , 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m., at , Manalapan.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's name to the Shannon Daley Memorial Fund, PO Box 1271, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
